I would stay here again. The Roosevelt is a pleasant, nicely situated hotel, a short walk from the Insurgentes metro station and near a wide range of good eateries (El Jamil (Middle Eastern); Milos; Izakaya; an informal sushi and ramen place; Italian; organic and vegetarian places; a boba place; Burger Fi). There's also a grocery store and the ubiquitous Sanborn's department store within a few blocks. My room faced an air shaft, so no view, but it was quiet and I slept well. Breakfast was included and nicely prepared. Maid service and Wifi were good, the front desk, helpful!

I like the location of the hotel. It is located in the La Condesa area and not far from the La Roma (Paseo de La Reforma and all the major museum and landmarks. It is within 30 minute walks (for me) which I chose to do that. It is also located near the Metrobus line which can be used to connect to the massive subway system. The hotel itself has very responsive and helpful staff. The room is clean and comfortable. However, be aware of the room when you book because not all the rooms are equipped with airconditioner. The room toward Yucatan/Insurgentes tend to be loud if you sleep with the windows open. I would stay there again. The hotel was recommended by the Spanish language school where I attended. The onsite restaurant is OK but there are plenty of restaurants and bars around. Note, the safe in myroom does not work, you might want to check with the hotel.

So disappointed in this Hotel. Stayed for one night in December 2018 and spent very little time in the room. The bathroom toilet in our room was not working. the beds were comfortable. No water in the room. Just a bed is what we had for 400/night. Customer service is none. When explained our situation at check out, we were treated rudely and only offered not to charge us the $40 incidental charge they charge for internet etc...didn't even listen to what this extra charge was as we were busy. We come every year and stay at many different hotels and wanted to try this hotel. Will never be back. We spent a lot of money for only a bed. This is supposed to be a 4.5 star hotel and I believe this hotel is so overrated and customer service nothing. I have written with my complaints and we will see if they respond. I won't hold my breath. Very sad as it is beautiful hotel but only as good as the employees and we found they just are not considerate and rude.
