I stayed here for one night. It was very comfortable and clean. The bed was big. The staff did not speak English at all, but if you know some Spanish, it will be fine. It is close to the blue line Tasquena metro station.
The room was clean and reasonably quiet. No English was spoken at the hotel reception. Many couples were in line to check in but they were respectable; probably youngish adults living at home with parents needing a night out. I would stay here again if I needed to be at Taxquena Station early again. American Airlines had lost our luggage on this trip to Mexico City to transfer to Acapulco by bus, so we didn't look that respectable ourselves! You need to get clear directions to where the station is. We went the long way around.
Travelling from North to South of Mexico City this was a great place to spend the night close to the Terminal sur. Huge double room, clean, lots of hot water, an ok restaurant for a late dinner and early breakfast. Easy to catch a taxi right out the front door.
I wanted to stay close to Mexico City's south bus terminal in the Taxqueña neighborhood and Hotel Montreal is the closest to that point, as far as I know. I arrived in a taxi from the airport after Midnight without a reservation on a Friday night and had no difficulty obtaining a room. The room I was assigned was fantastic and included: a King-sized bed, two easy chairs and a small table, a long credenza against one wall with many drawers, nice carpet and draperies, a large color TV connected to international cable, a dressing area with sink, and a large bathroom with shower, toilet and bidet. The room charge for one person was MX$330 (about US$30 at the time). The hotel is situated on a busy highway and knowing this I asked for a quiet room at the rear, and my request was honored. I recommend the hotel, highly. The hotel has a small restaurant/bar on a mezzanine level but because I left early in the morning I didn't eat there. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel is, and it served its purpose by being only a 15-minute walk to the bus terminal.…
