We arrived into Mexico City very late at night and we had to deliver something in Coyoacan before leaving to Queretaro with just a few hours to spare. Since we had to be near Coyoacan we chose this hotel, what a mistake!!! The hotel is dirty, very filthy carpet and horrible bathrooms, regardless of the cleanliness of the hotel, the... More

Me and my wife stayed in Finisterre hotel for a night. Its location was what called our attention and the price made us book with them. We went to a wedding in Coyoacan and it was by far the best option.

My husband and I have relied on this hotel time and time again for business trips and visitors over the last 7 years. We have stayed there so many times I can't even count. The hotel is descent, this is not a holiday inn or an international chain. It has undergone significant rennovation, but not all rooms are finished. The prices... More

Close to Mexico Sur bus station and Tasquena metro station, so reaching any place in Mexico City is not a problem. Spacious and quite quiet room.

We stayed here by accident and it worked out well. Upon arrival at the bus station in Mexico City we were informed that there was no access by car or taxi to the central historical district, where we had initially planned to stay because of a large demonstration (tortilla price increases) in the Zocalo. After trying to get close to... More

Problems included the fact that there was a constant leak on the bathroom floor from the toilet. The shower head functioned, but really needed to be replaced as water dispersement was uneven. The soap the hotel provides is so small you only get one use. No wash clothes were provided. The towells were coarse. The hotel staff were reasonably polite,... More

The hotel was very clean & comfortable. The majority of the staff did not seem to understand English and they seemed a bit impatient when you spoke in Spanish. The food at the restaurant was okay, we found that at night time there was little happening in the bar /disco...

Staying in Coyoacan

Neighborhood Profile
Coyoacan
Once you step into Coyoacán (“Land of the Coyotes”) you'll find picturesque parks and cantinas that will transport you back to the colonial era thanks to the brick and stone details of the area. Iconic writers such as Trotsky and great painters like Frida Kahlo seeked refuge and inspiration in this area, and you can see the unique spirit of this neighborhood reflected in its colorful market where nieves, sopes and all kinds of traditional 'antojitos' are a must try. Restaurants and cafés throughout its peaceful paved streets contain traditional but unique murals and decorations, where one can enjoy a mezcal at noon or the best churros with a cup of coffee.
