The front desk person Michelle was excellent . I had two reservations and I did not want to move to another room. She kept me in the same upgraded room being a Titanium Elite customer . It is customer service like Michelle that makes me go to Marriott hotels again

I would not recommend this hotel at all. First of all there are renovations going on- one would think they would have been forthcoming about this. Asked for a king size bed, I was told by the person checking me in that that would be impossible for the 4 days I was here. Amazingly, when I threatened to switch hotels ( I wish I had), they suddenly found a king room . Just got back from a full day of touring- left at 9:30 this morning, now 4 pm and room not made up. Staff is beyond rude and unhelpful. I asked the concierge to help me maje a reservation and was told to do it myself. I asked, as a gold member status, to use the club lounge and I was told no. All in all one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Be smarter than me and stay somewhere else!

They are re modeling, no lobby, no restaurant unless you like paint sprayed on your food. The staff can’t communicate. After sad 3 days, the drywall above the shower was pouring water, at 10pm someone came up to look, told us we would have to move and the front desk would call. They never did so at 12am I went down to deal. Just a s show of a hotel. We were here for 5 days and 40 people, so they don’t care about the customers. I called Marriott and they said it is Marriott in name only they take no responsibility. That is horrible.

This is an awesome luxury hotel, with the best location you may find to attend concerts, visit museums, go to great restaurants walking distance and very close from the historic Mexico City downtown. Rooms are very comfortable with a delicious bed, with the best pillows and linens. There is NO NOISE at all at nights. View from room is beautiful. The only "but" at this time is that the hotel has de lobby and main entrance remodeling, and it is a real mess. It seems they are already finishing, but it is certainly uncomfortable.

TheJW became our casa in CDMX. We explored the sites of this great city and found refuge is this comfortable property. Alberto and his team were most gracious and helpful. Its location near parks in the lovely Polanco neighbor hood was perfect. Even the lobby construction was well managed and quiet. We’d love to go back to see it finished. Fransisco, the driver they recommended was very informative. They made our visit perfecto.

I would like to preface this review with saying my complaint has always come after checking out of this hotel. I have stayed over 10x within the last 24 months at this property. This used to be my go to hotel due to the proximity to Polanco and nearby restaurants. The breakfast is amazing and the restaurant staff is top notch. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, even with the ongoing construction, all the other amenities make up for it. However, this has been the second time that mysterious charges appear on my Folio after check out. Since I am on business travel, I make sure every single charge matches up prior to checking out of the hotel. I always request a hardcopy and examine prior to leaving the property. Earlier this year, a mysterious 2000 peso charge was added to my Folio. I chalk it up to as an oversight and let it go. However, last week after, confirming my charges upon my departure. Once again, I was billed mysterious charges on my credit card. When I called the hotel, they provided me with an updated Folio with the extra charges. Enough is enough. I know a scam when I see one. Very disappointed in this property. I’m not sure if I would return. I’ll wait to see what explanation I will be given. However, the reservation I have for the upcoming week will certainly be canceled.

I’m currently lying in bed here at the JW Marriott Mexico City. It is 2:20 in the morning, and all I hear is the party outside my window 15 floors down. I called downstairs to find out what is happening outside and they informed me it’s a night club. The gentleman offered me a room higher up or earplugs, but the appropriate thing to do was to warn me upon checkin that I would be awake all night due to the incessant and obnoxiously loud music at all hours of the night. As I am getting up in 3 hours to get my plane to go home, I declined the new room. I also declined the earplugs as they are uncomfortable. Just be warned that if your window faces north you won’t be sleeping at all. Also, there was a lovely money grab the second you checkin - my room and another customer's room were conveniently not available upon checkin, BUT for $40 extra a night we both could get a room that was ready - a little tacky in my opinion.

The hotel is undergoing renovations at present. We got a lovely spacious room on a high floor with views over 'Grasshopper Hill', the cultural, museum heart of the city. Wealthy Polanco with several very famous restaurants, Quintonil and Pujol, are a short walk away and trendy North Roma around 20 mins walk across the park. Our rate did not include breakfast, which I find disappointing given the relatively high prices, but that's what I booked. We had breakfast at Eno Polanco, which was great and super generous serves (i.e. order less than you think you need). There is a pool high up and a fitness centre. There renovations did not effect our sleep. Service failed to replenish water in the room. The front desk helped refilling water bottles with safe potable water and replacing room water, so no big deal. The hotel has a bit of a sterile business feel about it and there are people with business meeting badges ('Hello my name is....). The W, which should have nice in-room cosmetics is immediately adjacent, has no pool, but may represent a more fun place to stay in the Marriott portfolio at a better price.

Good stay overall, although not a great value, with the hotel lacking the 5-star features I hope for. I'd shell out more for St Regis for a real luxurious stay, or stay at Marriott Reforma to save money. Good * Great service from the front desk helped us merge three separate reservations and recognize elite benefits. Also very good service from the restaurant and gym staff. * Perfect location near Polanco, a nice area to spend time in. * The master suite felt new and clean while having a weird layout. I wish there were a double vanity sink, though. Bad * No bellmen service at all. Upon arriving or departing from the hotel, no one helps us with the luggage. The ongoing construction work also closed the ramp, which made it even more inconvenient. * We booked the room for two guests, but all the bath amenities and turned-down service were set up for 1. * Breakfast selection was not great, without any live cooking station. Much worse than St Regis or even Sheraton in Reforma. * The construction work made the remaining lobby very small, and going to the Polanco restaurants area requires walking around the building. The taxi/uber will still drop off at the wrong entrance.

Would not recommend this hotel based on these factors. Pool only has sun about 2 hours a day so if you are looking for a pool - skip this property Wifi is terrible. Constantly down Massage at spa is so not worth the money Housekeeping did not replenish our daily waters or coffee pods Bed is not comfortable. I think the mattresses are old and so they put a pad on top. Construction and street noise is loud even though we were in the 19th floor. Buffet is just okay and too expensive unless you like liquid runny scrambled eggs What is good about this hotel? Concierge had great recommendations for dinner and breakfast Woman working at pool is awesome and goes out of her way to help Hotel is in a good location. Would I go back? No There are too many great hotels in the area.
