Acceptable but there are much better options for the price. They don't have sheets that fit the bed properly so they are using other sheets sideways which means your feet touch the bare bed. Bathroom is difficult to enter because the door and toilet make it hard to enter Paint in bathroom is peeling with big holes in the wall Shower is grungy with what appears to be mold Incredibly slow WiFi, like DSL from the early 2000s

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, the room was cleaned every day. The staff was very nice and friendly. They changed my room to a higher floor when I checked in. The 2 main issues I had was the fact that the air conditioner does not work during the day if you are not in the room and it seems to be non effective (stayed at 21 degrees C) no matter what. It is located by nice restaurants which is a great plus. Remember that it is México City so don’t calculate the distance in length but time - it took us 30 minutes to drive 3 miles.

My stay at Laila Hotel has been pleasant, from check-in to check-out the staff were accommodating and helpful despite the language barrier. Staff member Mario Guadalupe was very helpful and also speaks great english. Which brings me to say that all staff at Laila hotel were very helpful, always greeting me at the door, breakfast time. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling from overseas.

I stayed 5 nights at this hotel as part of a group in Mexico City for a seminar. First of all, the elevators are extremely slow and in the morning it can take up to 14 mn (I timed it the third day) to get an elevator. The AC is completely NON EXISTANT. It’s 73 / 23 Celsius in every room (I asked the other 25 members of my group) and even if you set it on 43/7 Celsius it doesn’t go down! The maintenance guy is such a great person and he brought me a fan. I hope he didn’t take it from his workshop :-The reception staff is extremely friendly and helpful except for CELENE who really thinks very highly of herself. She seems to be forgetting that she has a job because of paying customers. Maybe she should be reminded of that. The housekeeping staff is very friendly but I guess they are understaffed and overworked! I left my room every day at 7.30 am and on 2 occasions my room had not been cleaned when I got back at 4 pm. I asked and the very kind and helpful guy (both guys working there were amazing) at the reception always helped! Breakfast lacks international variety. Americans and Europeans don’t eat tortillas with crazy hot spices in the morning! The hotel itself is not terrible but it’s dated and it will take more than a coat of fresh paint to help it regain the luster it probably had once upon a time!

Laila was near Reforma. In the same street where the hotel is located, there are a bunch of restaurants (amazing plus). The rooms were decent. The staff was good, but should manage themselves faster during check in hours. The hotel restaurant needs to improve their food quality and service. PROs: good price, great location CONs: bad hotel restaurant
