The problem with this hotel is that they are not consistent with their regulations. I booked two separate stays and asked if I could leave part of my luggage behind during the 5 days I would be away. They initially agreed. When the time came to check out and just as I had to run to catch my plane, they inform me that it is against their regulation to store my luggage. They left me hanging just like that. Offered no solution. Fortunately I found another hotel around the corner where I was able to book my next stay and they were happy to store my luggage. Needless to stay I canceled my next stay at Las Alcobas and do not plan to stay there again and expose myself to their unprofessional inconsistency.
My wife and I had a lovely room for one week in February. The staff was exceptionally attentive, courteous, and efficient. The breakfasts were delicious. The hotel manager was present and available to help in any way she could. This is definitely one of the finer boutique hotels of the world.
It was our first time to visit Mexico City. This hotel is in Polanco District of Mexico City. It has lots of sidewalk cafes, high end stores and lovely parks and tree lined streets. The rooms were high tech where you could turn everything on or off from your night table. Great breakfast and service. I would definitely come back to this hotel.
We have been fortunate to stay at many of the world's finest hotels. The staff of Las Alcobas was among the best we have ever experienced. In a short time they all knew us personally, and catered to our every need. A truly remarkable set of professionals. The location of Las Alcobas is terrific. Great dining and shopping in every direction. Beautiful parks just steps away. We can't wait to go back.
My husband and I came to Mexico City for the restaurants and bars so Las Alcobas was the perfect hotel location for us. We have also become fans of the Luxury Collection line of hotels and this hotel definitely met those high standards. Our room was great and with a large, comfortable bed with great linens. The shower was also awesome with Bvlgari toiletries. Snacks and non alcoholic drinks were complimentary. We enjoyed breakfast every morning at Anatol. A massage was included in our room rate. It was excellent and appreciated. Our Butler Bruno was very helpful. Our only issue with the hotel was communication issues with the concierge. A month before our stay I contacted the concierge to book transportation, tours and restaurant reservations. When we arrived, the concierge called us wanting to move our cooking class with a chef back 90 min because the markets open later on Sunday. He also informed us they were unable to secure permits for us for a special historical center tour on Tuesday but could do the regular historical center tour. We were OK with both of these changes but on Sunday we waited 20 min for the chef to arrive but got frustrated when the front desk and concierge on duty seemed to have no knowledge of the chef we were waiting for despite them arranging it. Considering the high cost we decided to cancel the class so we could get on with our day. Then on Monday, we got a call from the front desk saying a guide was waiting for us. It is unclear if this was the chef or the guide that was to come on Tuesday.…
