I have recently spent a night at the Hilton (and then I've changed of hotel after one night). It was not a pleasant stay. I stayed in a large suite. The bathroom was especially out of fashion and I got no hot water in the shower (fortunately a bathtub was also available and working). The executive lounge was closed and the breakfast in the restaurant was pathetic. This large hotel - very well located in the historic district - does need an overhaul to improve the comfort of rooms and bathrooms that are still in a 1980s design.

Hotel's Favorite
Our family of 3 stayed here on Christmas Eve for 2 nights before moving to an Airbnb. Knowing we would arrive in the evening on Christmas Eve, we wanted to start our trip in a hotel. As a Gold member, we were upgraded to an executive floor room, which was clean, comfortable and large. We took advantage of the happy hour, complimentary beverages, and breakfasts in the lounge. The breakfast spread was delicious— pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, chilaquiles. The staff of the lounge was also fantastic- the servers were prompt and courteous and Lorena at the executive desk was helpful during our stay. She helped us acquire a table at the restaurant’s (Los Dones) sold out Christmas Eve buffet (festive and good, but just OK). The gym had new machines and was kept very clean. The concierge was helpful in determining what sights would be open on the holidays. The location was great- right across the street from Alameda park. Close enough to Zocalo, but not as hectic. An easy walk to lots of sights. A great visit— we will return! Make sure you eat at El Cardenal!

My husband and I visited this hotel for the weekend due to a detour in our trip. We had a great stay. Valeria checked us in and provided all of my Diamond upgrades. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite and since the Executive lounge was not open due to the pandemic, we were given complimentary snacks and drinks at the bar. We also received a wonderful breakfast each morning. Samuel served us during the HHonors cocktail hours and for lunch. All staff members in the breakfast restaurant, at the front desk and concierge were very professional, attentive, pleasant and accommodating. We love our Parkview suite and jacuzzi tub. Internet quality was great so I got a lot of work done. I definitely have a new home whenever I visit Mexico City and I would highly recommend this hotel to family, co-workers and friends.
