Hotel reservation made on November 10 on Camino Real website. Upon arrival, desk attempted to add 200 pesos to quoted price. I complained, clerk gave me original rate. I wrote manager demanding explanation....Manager claimed it was due to peso exchange. I booked in Pesos, paid in Pesos (cash)....and actually 11/10 was 20.48 / US Dollar 11/15 rate was 20.34 ......

3 couples flew to Mexico for the NFL game. The hotel is located in a great neighborhood that is safe for the international traveler. The hotel has several restaurants that are world renowned and don't disappoint. It seemed this hotel hosts many business conferences. From check in to room service, all went well and fluid. I would definitely recommend this...

location location location. But the service was not great. No free wi-fi, which was very disappointing considering the price. The pool was nice, but there is only one pool, unlike pictures may lead us to believe. Overall an average stay.

The Camino Real Polanco is a wonderful oasis in the center of Mexico City. The gardens, pools, water features provide a peaceful break from the traffic and noise outside the hotel walls. The hotel also features a large number of restaurant choices and cuisines.

It's a very nice hotel. Most impressive are the several diverse restaurants inside along with a nice bar area. Breakfast was excellent. The room was nice and comfortable, but had not been updated in many years. The carpet had several areas of stains or discolorations. Service in the hotel was excellent. Security staff were prevalent and I felt safe. I...

I arrived at this hotel yesterday. The smell of smoke in my room is giving me headaches. I tried to change rooms and the only thing they did was to spray something in my room, which only made things worse. The hotel is old, touristy style. Very old carpet in rooms. I plan to never stay here again.

My room was on the ground floor, with a sliding glass door leading to the pool. It was quite a long walk from the entrance of the hotel to my room; however, the hallways are different everywhere, and I loved the abundance of color. Only a 10 minute walk from the Anthropology museum, which is amazing. Good breakfast buffet. Absolutely...

Paid $240 USD a night which is excessive for the hotel. It has a quirky design, modern design but not maintained and over the years it is tired...

The location is great but the room wasn't spectacular and I have felt more served at other hotels. This was my first time staying here and I wasn't super impressed. It does have a very modern feel to it with the big whirl pool in front but there is no hot tubs and I always like me a hot tub...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Real Polanco is unique architectural concept, created by highly-regarded architect Ricardo Legorreta. This space is considered a Hotel-Museum for its beauty and art collection. It opened its doors to the public on July 25, 1968, combining modern features with shapes clearly reminiscent of Prehispanic pyramids, the elements of which merge together to create a wonderful architectural work. Camino Real Polanco has hosted two soccer World Cups and the Olympic Games, as well as over 210 official visits from presidents and kings from all over the world.
