Comfortable and clean, only issue was shower wasnt powerful and hot water was temperamental. Staff were polite. 10-15minute walk to nearest Metro line Sunday market was a bonus, literally outside the hotel. Local convenience shops closeby

i saw the other reviews and was somewhat bewildered, i love this hotel, it is close to the center of the city without being too close and the streets in the surrounding blocks were safe for walking at night. Lots of good and street food options. They have the Tianguis right outside twice, which is like a real market with great food throughout. i want to add that i am a gringo traveling with my Mexican family, and also that we have never been molested by anyone in the city.

My husband was on a solo trip to Mexico City. He's not particularly fussy about hotels. This is what he said "The hotel is utterly unimpressive. Saggy floors in the corridors. Musty smell. Tiny room. Stained wrinkled carpets. But the bed is very firm, it's quiet, and there are no serious problems."

As we were arriving to the Hotel Stella Maris the Uber driver said that this was NOT a good street (Sullivan 69) because it was full of prostitutes and suggested not to go for a walk around there. I thought he was exaggerating but unfortunately he wasn't. We checked in and payed in full for 6 nights. At night time I got bit by bedbugs and one of my fingers got swollen. Too bad I didn't take pictures of it otherwise it would have been easier to get a refund with such evidence. I went to talk to someone at the Front Desk at 1am and explained the situation and he said it was okay that they would only charged me one night for which I agreed. The next morning my husband turned in the key and we left the hotel. I called a couple of days later because I hadn't receive a refund and they said they couldn't give me a refund because I didn't ask for it when I first left. I guess they thought I was going to pay for all 6 nights to reward their HORRIBLE SERVICE. I am still trying to get a refund and I hope I do. Overall, rooms are really outdated, beds have bedbugs (at least the one in 404) the restroom seemed to be very clean. Elevators are old and not well taken cared of; they are also carpeted. Please be advice that you need to jump in as soon as possible because it may crush you on your way in. The Lobby and the Restaurant are probably the nicest/clean things the hotel has. Manager Eduardo was extremely rude and uncooperative about giving me a fair refund for my one night stay. He lacks customer skills and should be sent to training. Brenda was also very unprofessional and not helpful in the sense of providing me with names of the people I needed to talk to about getting a refund.

You get what you pay for I guess. My room only had one electrical outlet and it was behind the TV which might sound silly but to not be able to charge you phone/alarm/clock next to your bed is very annoying. The shower also does not drain, was dirty (even had long hair in it) and the faucet handle broke off when I turned it on. Other than that, the rooms are as expected. Mine was small but aside from the shower and some hair on the bedsheet, it was very clean.

This was the only reasonable hotel I could find during the Easter holidays. My regular hotel had no rooms so we chose this one. We arrived at 4 am from Oaxaca and amazingly we did not have to wait for our room so we had a good sleep before our friends arrived. I thought the bed seemed larger than the queen size we had reserved and when I our friends arrived, I realized that we had been given the king size they had reserved and they were given a queen. The room was somewhat small but clean and had a built-in dresser and luggage area. The king size bed was very comfortable. The very clean bathroom had ample mirrors but the "tub" was really just a 1/2 tub usable for showering. The two negative points were the bathroom light was overhead which was useless for shaving and the maid left open the service area door in the hall which was not a nice sight. The restaurant looked very nice but the buffet breakfast cost more than Sanborn's. Unfortunately, we missed the Sunday art market held in front of the hotel but I have caught it in the past and it is worth visiting. The location, about three blocks from the Paseo de la Reforma, is good and there are taxis waiting outside with posted prices to most locations. If I didn't know my regular hotel, I might choose this one but I know better ones for the price.

Stayed for eight nights and would use this Hotel if ever in Mexico City . Not in a touristy area but there are many market stalls across the road . Very clean place and there is a Restaraunt inside serving good food. Staff can’t speak a great deal of English but they are very friendly and will help you in any way they can .

This hotel has a good location for visiting and exploring the city. The staff don't speak any English though, so they were not very helpful for us. The room was clean and the housekeeping did a good job. However, the A/C was not powerful enough to make the room comfortable at night, so we had to ask for a fan which they provided. Also, the "gym" is really just a treadmill, bike, and elliptical and a few weights up to 35lbs in a tiny room. There was a safe in the room but no ironing board. There was also no refrigerator , which would have been nice. The wifi worked most of the time and fairly well for a hotel. Finally, the beds were fairly hard, so it wasn't the greatest night sleep.

The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The kids loved the pool but I found it too cold to swim in. I only gave it an average review because I thought the common and pool areas could use a makeover. (The lobby is very nice however.) Overall we had fun and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a safe place to stay with a decent location for a good price. The art market that happens across the street on Sundays was interesting.

We stay a weekend in this hotel from Friday to Monday and everything was Ok. We arrived late at night so the reception time was very kind and helped us to have our room quickly, it only took around 3 minutes and then we was walking straight to our room, very great. The room was a doble bed room with a nice balcony that has a view to a park, the room service was okay we had clean towels and free water everyday. We did not taste the food in the hotel restaurant as we want to taste all the food in the city but we saw lots of people having a great time so we thought it was nice. We barely talk to the staff because everything was ok and we did not need almost anything, a friend went to the laundry and said it was great and the staff helped him a lot, so it was great to. Our check out was so quickly so it is a good point. The surrounding areas were calm and looks very secure, we took walks in the middle of the night and everything was okay. If you want to have a nice stay, keep in budget and just be there to sleep and go to know the entire city, this hotel will work for you. Not expect luxury. It worths for what you paid. Staff awesome, rooms awesome, facilities okay. I would stay here again for sure.
