I wrote a review on Experian too! Great location in Mexico City and many friendly staff members. The location is close to Metro and id very safe! There is a heavy police presence and never felt unsafe at all. There are many places to eat nearby. Disfurense alla. The TV and internet systems need updating😉! This pic is a view from my hotel room. Viva CDMX🇲🇽!

I had a B&B package. The hotel is situated 5mins walk from Metro Insurgentes. Lots of shops and eateries nearby. Also a very loud late-night disco which might disturb some people. Staff were very good. The self-catering apartment was very spacious if old fashioned, and was well cleaned every day. A/c worked reasonably well but the heating was controlled from reception and was either far too hot or not warm enough. A big problem. No happy medium. Lots of clean towels daily. Free small bottles of water daily. Shower not very powerful but hot. Free Wifi excellent. Breakfast was in a restaurant open to the public and you use a ticket provided by reception. It was mediocre and served from a menu. A glass of fruit juice, a small plate of pre-cut fresh fruit, two sweet pastries, filter or expresso coffee and a hot dish from the menu.

The good: clean, beautiful, and a lot of space for the money. I enjoyed having my own little kitchen and loved sitting on the balcony that overlooks a tree-lined street but also had a great view of the city. The guys who work in the restaurant are sweethearts and the food is actually really good (breakfast was included at least in the deal I had). The bad was that there is a karaoke bar across the street at which drunk "singers" are howling like sick dogs until the wee hours; not really the fault of the hotel, but still, it's something to consider. But the dealbreaker: the señora who worked at the front desk took an instant dislike to me, in spite of my fluent Spanish and my good manners. She sought every possible way to nickel and dime me and insisted that I needed to pay for an extra person after my girlfriend who was visiting me had already left to spend my last night in Texcoco with her mom. I had gladly paid the extra charges for the night she was there, but I resented being treated like a liar when I tried to explain that I had spent the last night alone. In the end I basically said, "You know what, it's not worth arguing about, just take the money," but her treatment was the dealbreaker that will keep me from ever staying at Suites Amberes again. It was unfortunate because the rest of the staff, from the cleaning people to the doorman to the waiters, were awesome.

I have to say that my initial interaction was trying, but that was quickly resolved. The suite is over 1,000 square feet. It's dated - think 1970's Mexico chic - but it is spotless and comes with a kitchen, living room and separate bedroom. It's in the Zona Rosa, so expect to hear some noise until about 4 am. The staff here is great AND the breakfast (free) is delicious. The value of what one gets is phenomenal. I usually stay at a Marriott property when in Mexico City, but I think I will be coming here instead due to its staff, location, and value.

The Suites Amberes is very nice. The suite was huge...very clean and cutely decorated. The staff was fantastic, especially Antonio at the front desk. Walking distance to many attractions. Lots of resturants and shopping close by. Breakfast included, and it was superb. My only complaint would be the noise from the club across the street. Its very, very loud through the wee hours. Not the hotel's fault, of course, but I'm from NYC and used to noise, and this was remarkably loud.

I had the great fortune to stay at hotel Amberes. The location was ideal. It was within walking distance from Centro Historico, Parque Chapultepec, and the trendy areas of Condesa and Roma. The staff was very attentive and responded promptly to any requests, they are also a source of great knowledge of the city and helped me plan my stay in CDMX. The rooms were large, all amenities worked well and the family cleaning staff did a wonderful job. The breakfast in the hotel introduced me to authentic Mexican food and the waiters customized the meal upon request. Many thanks to Antonio and Alexandra, Felix and other staff. I will definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again.

This is a great hotel in the heart of bustling Zona Rosa. Instead of a room, you're really getting a good-sized apartment with kitchen and living areas full of retro 70s and 80s colors and slightly (but still wonderfully) passe decor. Staff is great and breakfast included is great.

I don't understand the complaints about noise. Yes, it's noisy - it's in the bar district, a party town. Do your research. I liked it, thought it was fun, and it was never so noisy that I could not sleep. Also had no problems using internet. Included breakfast is fantastic - top notch. I had some minor complaints - broken hair dryer, poorly explained charges for drinking water - but these are very minor (the water is only 15 pesos, less than a dollar a bottle). And the suite was enormous. Highly recommend this hotel.

The cooked to order breakfast was very good. Also, the hotel is isn a vibrant part of the city. There were many great restaurants nearby. It was easy to get places from the hotel (they even lined up a tour for us). The staff was also helpful suggesting things to see and do. It was loud in front of the hotel (price of being in a cool area), though we could not hear the noise from our room. The room itself was very large (included a kitchen and two bedrooms). We enjoyed the stay here.
