This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The service was also incredible and all of the staff very friendly and accommodating. All safe Covid procedures were followed to a tee. Because the city was in a code red lockdown the restaurant was closed, but room service was provided at a discount and was excellent! The location could not be better. I would definitely stay here again.
We spent 3 nights at the beautiful Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico, This is one of the most beautiful places at which we've ever stayed. The public spaces are truly grand especially the stain glass ceiling. The rooms were well appointed, beds comfortable and the Terrace Restaurant offered a terrific view of Zocalo Square. But the best part was the staff.. from check-in to check-out our experience was wonderful. We had a slight issue with the room air conditioning and could not have been more pleased with the fast, professional response. Truly a first class hotel! We were especially pleased with staff members Cynthia at the Front Desk, Bellman Victor and Doorman/Bellman Jose Luis. They remembered our names and addressed us each time we entered and truly provided great personal and professional service. We hope to be back soon!…
This hotel is amazing, the service was wonderful. They thought of everything, in the middle of a pandemic they made us feel safe, welcomed and special Make sure you use their car services. We had the pleasure of working with Cristian and he was wonderful
After traveling around Mexico for a bit, it was very nice stay here for a few days. The staff and the property truly offer a comfortable location that make you feel at home. The location is wonderful right on the Zocalo and within walking distance of many things. The staff are friendly and helpful with everything from restaurant recommendations to assistance with your luggage. But the best thing here is the all that the hotel has to offer. Not only is the building itself beautiful and historic, but it has all the modern amenities you could want. It has beautiful rooms with balconies overlooking historic streets, and a grand lobby you could spend time just staring at the ceiling in. On top of all of this, there is a wonderful roof-top terrace restaurant that not only offers a wonderful menu, but overlooks the Zocalo. Even if you are not staying at the hotel, it is worth going up for a drink! I would recommend the Gran Hotel to anyone visiting Mexico City.…
This is the second time staying at this hotel. It is remarkably beautiful, the staff is amazing, and the location near the zocalo is fantastic. I highly recommend staying at this hotel for the mere beauty. The only downside is that one of the restaurants is closed, as was the gym due to COVID.
