This is one of my favorite hotels. The rooms have an exceptional view of Chapultepec Park and the surrounding buildings in Polanco. The hotel also has a wonderful selection of restaurants. My favorite is Alfredo di Roma Italian), as well as Au Pied de Couchon (French), and Chapulin (Mexican.) The Club Lounge on the 39th floor has a superb breakfast selection, and city view. The staff is exceptional. Everytime that I needed assistance, even helping repair my suitcase which was damaged at the airport upon my arrival in the city. The rooms are very well maintained, spacious, and offer wonderful views of the city. I also enjoy the art work, by Mexican artists, in the lobby. All of the above is due to the vision of the General Manager.

One day I requested a female friend of mine, sorry I can't mention any names, to please make two seperate hotel reservations. The first one was paying by usd and the other one was paying by IHG Rewards Club points. I always get the VIP treatment but when it came for the hotel to use the points forthe reservation somebody decided to charge me in usd and not in points so after two phone calls they had to return the points to me. In short, don't allow the hotel to convienceyou to sign multiple reservations for that will cost you time and money and plenty of patience as well.

This is the first time that I've stayed in an Intercontinental Hotel where there is no pool. After coming back from Intercontinental Cancun, I was expecting to relax by the pool before my departure back home, but obviously as they don't have a pool I could not do that. Bummer! Hotel lobby felt dated and there was no Wow feel to it. I booked a Club room and checking in as an Ambassador was a bit slow. Room is also super small. Intercontinental NYC provides a bigger Club room that what I had here in Mexico City. Also, the handwash basin and bathroom mirror are placed within the hallway/entryway. That's like a very bad feng-shui! However, they do have a tv placed within the mirror which is a nice tech touch. Club lounge are lovely. Friendly service throughout. Breakfast needs to be ordered with the chef. Amazing views throughout!

We stayed at several hotels on our recent trip to Mexico. Unfortunately the Presidente was probably the weakest hotel where we stayed. The hotel is extremely well located and a short walk to Polanco. The area is very safe and quiet. The hotel itself seems to cater to mostly business travelers. The hotel felt very large with an expansive lobby, bar and several dining options inside. We didn’t eat on property so can’t comment on the quality. The rooms seem fairly recently renovated but given the dark gray and black tones make the space feel pretty small. They also do already show some wear and tear. What probably stood out the most was really the disparity in the level of service at the Presidente vs other hotels. The service at the Intercontinental was apathetic at best. In the afternoon we had requested an SUV to the airport with the concierge on the phone for the next day. Later that evening we checked with the concierge desk to confirm the car and they had no record of it. The told us not to worry and they would have it arranged. The next day there was no SUV available and again no record of our two requests. We ended up taking a taxi and while loading the car the bellman placed our Puebla pottery in such a way that as soon the door opened at the airport our full set came crashing down to the ground in pieces. I understand that accidents happen but this place really felt like people were just going through the motions to get people in and out of the hotel. With so many fantastic options in Mexico City it’s a pass

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Everything was perfect. Covid safety appeared to be a high priority: temperature check, hand and shoe sanitizer for everyone upon entry to the property, masks worn by all inside the property. The staff was always gracious and attentive. The room was clean and well appointed. We had only one problem: a leaking ceiling in the bathroom and when we discovered it and notified the concierge, she moved us to the room next door within a few hours and it was resolved. We had breakfast in the hotel every morning and the food was very good. It was very convenient to have such a large selection of seven nice restaurants in the hotel.. The lobby bar downstairs provided our group with a nice and comfortable gathering spot after dinner. Going to the salon in the hotel was lovely and convenient and the staff there were wonderful, too. The elevators were never crowded ( great during Covid) and were very fast, making it easy to come and go. The neighborhood was beautiful and safe. We walked to dinner nearby one night and felt very comfortable. During the day we walked to sights and shops and so many things were nearby, so the hotel was well situated. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Mexico City. P.S. We also stayed briefly in the Four Seasons in Mexico City and The Intercontinental far exceeded that hotel.
