I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. It's in a lovely historic building with all the issues that entails (fewer outlets, no HVAC not that it matters, and variable water pressure). all rooms have windows to regulate temp, but It's built around a central courtyard so interior rooms open onto common space. Staying alone, and as a woman, I... More

The hotel location can't be beat. Yes, it's noisy, but you're right on the Zocalo square, so it's expected. Our baby was able to sleep without a problem, for example, and all noise ceases to exist after about midnight except for the city's cleaning crew. The people at the hotel were very nice and attentive. They did everything in their... More

Phenomienal location - historic district, close to subway, great pricing, very helpful staff, lots of amenities close by, and very safe. Our room was at the back near service elevator. The room we ordered was not available. Ended up with a similar room that we do not think is often used. Very noisy. Usual smells of big urban cities with... More

Great historic hotel at the Zocalo in the middle of all the action and entertainment. The lobby and staircase was decorated in the original beautiful colored Spanish tile. Room overlooked the cathedral and was clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful...we had our credit card taken at the metro and helped us contact the credit card company and made arrangements... Beautiful historic building overlooking the centre square of zacola. Walk to everything. Huge suite has everything. Staff very friendly and helpful. Speak English. Short drive from the airport 30 mins in traffic. Hotel has currency exchange for US dollars at great rate.

We arrived late but the desk attendant was very nice and got us to our room asap. We got a room on the 5th floor with a balcony facing the Zocalo. We were warned that it would be noisy but it had a wonderful view so we took it. It was loud, due to the people and the traffic, but... More

Perfect location. We had an inward facing room, which was really quiet. King size bed where we could have easily lied horizontally if we had wanted to. The breakfast is a must-do, although it is rather expensive (200 pesos per person). Great place to start off your Mexico trip with a massive flag being raised at 8:00AM in the morning... More

My son and I arrived a little early and checked our bags while we ate on the Terraza. Lunch was mediocre, but the view was great and service good. The guy at the front desk was not especially inviting, but was nit rude either. We were able to check in about 1:30 and given a choice of 2 rooms. One... More

I stayed here last February and I really enjoyed the location of the hotel. It is an old building so don't expect anything fancy. At midnight you get a drain stink that is pretty bad. The food at the restaurant is ok but the service is pretty bad, Don't ask for draft beer because they don't know how to serve... More

I visited the roof top restaurant here for lunch. You can sit under cover but outside and it commands superb views across the main square. The food is very Mexican and very good - their beans are worth going again for alone!
