This hotel, though needing to be redecorated and modernized, was a comfortable and well-located hotel for a tourist visit. Very nice staff, good amenities, and comfortable and clean rooms. Good fast wifi. Los Canarios (the breakfast included restaurant on site) was not very good. Mediocre food and service. I wound up getting my breakfasts a la Parrilla for an extra charge, but it was worth it. There is a good deal of noise at the hotel, due to old plumbing and poor window sound-proofing, but in general I was very happy here for the 5 nights I spent as I slept well, loved the bathtub and nice strong hot showers, and could either walk or get where I needed.
Terrible service - 40 minute check in process, had to call 4 times for housekeeping and the food was TERRIBLE. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are plenty of great options minutes away.
Great location. Very clean, spacious room. The bed was extremely comfortable with lots of pillows. The restaurant A La Padilla was really great: the wait staff are so friendly and accommodating of all our requests. Will definitely choose this hotel again for our return visit to Mexico City.
Cesar was amazing! He really took our preferences into account and gave the best recommendations based on those and every single recommendation was spot on, especially the cocktails! Very happy with our experience
This is my third stay at the Marquis Reforma since 2017 and it certainly won't be my last. The hotel is in an excellent and very safe part of the city nearby many of the finest attractions. It is within walking distance of Chapultepec Park and the superb Museum of Anthropology. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable, and the spa is elegant and excellent. The restaurants and food at the Marquis are very good. The thing that really makes the Marquis special though is the warm and professional staff. I can't say enough about the kindness and attentiveness of the staff, from the waiters to the front desk, bell hops and concierge. I must mention a few names of the staff who deserve special recognition including Jose Acerlo, the head concierge who is a kind and knowledgeable gentleman. Two of the other concierges were Hugo Meza and Javier Villalobos who were both very nice gentleman and extremely helpful. I also wish to recognize Gustavo Garcia, Ivan Botones and Senor Ruebin for their great service and kindness. To Gustavo, my friend, I will truly miss our conversations which we had during my short stay and wish for you the very best.…
Beautiful hotel, great location, and the Concierge was very helpful. The QR codes (in the night stands) for the restaurant menus didn't all function. Elegant lobby and beautiful and clean rooms. I'd stay there again.
There not much to say: This hotel has the best in class service, the spa is a really great experience, the sunday buffet is amazing and the bedroom is comfortable. The staff is well prepared and very warm attitude.
Overall this is a good hotel but I do not consider it an exclusive property. The room was acceptable but not outstanding. The bathroom and amenities were fine. I did not like the fact that one needs an employee to activate the computer and printer in the business center - this was time consuming and frustrating as it took some time to print a few pages and I prefer to be able to go to a business center if needed without needing another individual present. I was surprised that the rooms are not equipped with coffee makers and that this needs to be requested at an additional charge. Their security guard is equipped with a thermometer and blood pressure kit if one falls ill. The Spa Manager was sarcastic when I was in that area of the hotel which convinced me not to extend the stay when I was considering doing so.…
The staff are all so friendly- Our housekeeper Filomena took such good care of us and works very hard to make the rooms spotless and inviting. The beds are very comfortable and the fresh flower arrangements are lovely. Excellent location. Would return for sure
Everything was excellent and I loved the European feel. The food was delicious – especially the croissants and the pan o chocolate - can’t find flaker outside of Paris. The tortilla soup was great and the croquettes jamon took me back to being in Madrid. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating.
