The A/C in my room did not work. the Management knew about this since the moment they gave me my room, but pretended not to have known. they "up-graded" me to a bigger room where the AC was marginally working but the temperature never got below 23 C even if I set to the minimum. The desk chair in the Upgraded" room was not a proper desk chair, but a regular uncomfortable chair to work on. I requested they bring me a office type desk chair like they had in the other room but that only happened the morning I was checking out of the hotel. On the plus side, the breakfast was excellent and room service was better than I expected. The "upgraded" room they gave me faced another building where they played LOUD MUSIC every night, made sleeping difficult. So there you have it between a hot quiet room or one with some cooling but NOISY Music at night.

After dozens of trips to Mexico City, I’ll never stay anywhere else after finding the NH Collection. Amazing comfortable rooms with modern amenities, fantastic location and wonderful staff. Hector was very helpful in offering an early check-in, and Eric was very kind in helping with bags and providing local area info. Definitely opt for one of the premium rooms with balcony and enjoy the beautiful sunrise over Mexico City.

We chose the hotel for its reasonable price, location close to the nightlife in the Zona Rosa, modern aesthetic, and presence in the American Express network. First the good: the hotel is clean and modern; the pricing is very reasonable; the rooms are pretty and have nice, practical minimalist furniture; the fitness center and pool are both surprisingly decent for a hotel in this price tier; and the breakfast buffetis very tasty with a wide spread. That said, there were some things we didn't love about the experience. The concierge is friendly but did not have any useful advice to even pretty basic questions about restaurant recommendations, which was frustrating - she kept trying to steer us towards cheap, chain fast food and fast casual eateries when we were explicitly asking for recommendations for nicer sit-down places, and she had no good ideas about where to steer guests with special dietary requirements (vegetarians). The hotel also nickel-and-dimes guests about bizarre things - for instance, they only give each room two Nespresso pods (one of them decaf!) and were oddly resistant when we asked for more, as well as failing to refill little items like sweetener and creamer. The rooms also had some maintenance issues - our HVAC made weird ticking noises in the night, the handle came detached from our sink, and the toilet in our friend's room broke and the hotel didn't fix it until they were asked twice. The rooms had some counterintuitive layout and design issues (not enough power outlets in places you need them, the shower floors leak water into the bathroom because the ledge separating the rooms isn't very high, the pillows are oddly hard), none of which is important individually, but collectively they detract from the overall comfort of the space. The hotel is unfortunately also somewhat loud at night (inevitable given the neighborhood). All in all the hotel isn't bad - but for the low price and convenient location there are some tradeoffs that guests should be aware of before booking.

Please be aware that this hotel is not at the Reforma but several blocks behind it. The Turibus has a stop right at Plaza Independence which is a five minutes walk from the hotel. Centro Histórico is not within walking distance. It is also convenient and safe to ask for a taxi at the concierge desk. The prices are listed at the entrance. Your ride from the airport takes about 40 min and should not cost more than 350pesos. The front desk staff we found very polite, always trying to help. Same as the concierges, breakfast staff and house keeping staff. The rooms are pretty big for our European standards. The rooms are bright and modern in decoration. The beds were comfy with three kinds of pillows. The bathroom is not so large but the shower has good water pressure. WiFi is strong. We loved the Nespresso machine and water kettle for a morning hot drink without having to leave the room. Breakfast is an amazing buffet with everything you can imagine. The fruit and juices made in front of you, wow! There is an omelet station (fresh eggs used!) where they also make you a taco upon request. Furthermore you can eat tamales and other lovely warm dishes and bread and yoghurt etc. The pool area has no towel service. There are about 15 sun beds. Its good to get a quick tan or just to relax. The small pool has red tiles and the water is extremely warm. Not inviting to go in. The gym is a small with clean towels and water bottles available. A few door from the hotel we used to get lunch at a kind of canteen where they cook home style food. Office staff and locals go there for breakfast or lunch. It’s a great opportunity to try real Mexican food! Staff is always friendly and willing to help with your choice. If we ever go back to CDMX we love to stay here again!

NH was above our expectations on all levels of value for money. Room was spacious, clean, serviced well, great view, black out curtains and very quiet. Staff were helpful in giving directions, maps and booking us shows & tours. The breakfast was amazing with a huge variety of foods, fresh juices and good coffee. Zona Rosa location is the perfect place with beautiful restaurants, activities and landmarks within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again and recommend NH to friends and family.
