Hotel's Favorite
Our stay in this hotel has been delightful. Excellent customer service, the hotel itself is pretty modern, in the heart of Zona Rosa, close to everything. The accommodations are really nice, rooms are great, with wonderful views and the decoration on point. Restaurant food is delicious. The host Jesus is very kind and caring, and he lead us to the Liverpool Tours office inside the hotel. This tour agency was our daily plan choice by excellence, with too many options to choose, and private tours as well. Our guide was Porfirio, and he did and excellent job, very knowlable of all the landmarks, history, culture and above everything, very respectful and kind. My recommendation, check the tours with the agency first, and all the packages they offer.

Disclaimer: This review is based on the hotel star rating and my experience compared to other hotels in similar category. As I probably mentioned in my first review, the hotel is located in a premium location. It is in the heart of Zona Rosa very close to gay bars, restaurants, and touristy places. The area is VERY SAFE. It is close to a police headquarter and there are policemen everywhere around the hotel. Note that the location is in the heart of night clubs and it could get VERY noisy at night. If you want a piece and quite place, this may not be the hotel for you. I went back to the hotel because of the value. I have stayed in other hotels (even higher star rating and prices) and NH is very good and the cost/value ratio is very high. As my previous review, staff was very friendly and cordial. As for the room, this time I stayed at a normal room and I frankly liked it better than the suite I stayed the first time. The only issue I had was the shower as the bathrooms are not well designed andthe water goes out of the shower floor and it is hard to contain. The rest of the room was very nice, very clean and very comfortable. If I have to nick pick on something, it would be the few drawers and the shower door. My personal rating is: Room: A++++ Service: A+++++ Location: A+++++ Tip: Ask for a room overlooking Liverpool. It seems that rooms opposite to the ones looking at the Angel are very quiet at night.

The highlight of our stay was Jesus, the Bellman. He was extremely helpful in arranging day trips, and providing information in general. In particular, he gave us specific instructions when visiting the Floating Gardens that saved us from what could have been a harrowing experience. Thank you, Jesus!! The room was large, and clean. The staff was friendly. The location was good. The hotel took too long to respond to my request for a driver, so we ended up taking an Uber from the airport. The music is very loud at night, and the earplugs don't help. Housekeeping forgot to replace the coffee and tea twice. The toilet had to be fixed by maintenance (which happened after the 2nd request). Overall, an average experience.

i want to write a very special review - as you know the geopolitical events in Europe end of 2020 early 2021 have been dangerous and dramatic. For many reasons I felt it was necessary to get my family away for what I perceived as imminent danger/risk. We chose Mexico. As we chose Mexico we arrived in Mexico City after taking just two weeks to pack and move a whole residence in Europe into storage. We are working on Mexico residency and establishing a residence here. NH Collection Reforma became our home. But MORE THAN A HOME. The staff, the people, the management has been unequivocally the most human, emphatic, helpful and just plain amazing people I have ever had the privilege( in my travels all over the world) to meet and experience. Sim,ply amazing., NH collection is our home as I commute back and forth to USA for work now and the staff literally looks out for and takes care of my wife and family when I am gone. They look out for me when I am here or hanging a challenging day (happening more often in 2022 than previously). I have never experienced something quite like it. Caring, thoughtfulness, genuine ness and authenticity. I will never forget the people here and the attitudes not only of them but so many in Mexico City. Mexican people are a spectacular culture and its something that I am so happy to have learned. I can not recommend NH Collection highly enough. If you want a great place to stay the rooms are beautiful and well kept and clean, the staff and people are amazing, I will go out of my way to stay at NH Collection hotels and affiliated establishments at any opportunity in the future and am also preparing a letter to the CEO to thank them for being such a great part of a challenging time in our lives Roberto, Ramon, Liliana, Adrian, Giovanni, Antonio at the restaurant have been amazing always going above and beyond and like family - Nathalia in management exceptional and very grateful for her help. Hector and Damian at the front desk have been very helpful, Erick and the staff also. If you visit say hello to them and that Mico (our Weimaraner is Mico and loves it here esp breakfast) or Peter told you about them! Lol While we are on the subject - the breakfast buffet is a huge selection every day - its excellent and often includes a Prosecco. Breakfast definitely is a highlight here

I see a few comments that have complained about service - i have a hard time understanding that because people here try so hard I can only imagine there is a language issue and encourage people who are having any challenges or difficulties to find a good person to communicate with in their langauge., English is not as common in Mexico City as I would have thought so its important to make an extra language effort.

NH Collection Mexico City Reforma is the a great facility/hotel if you are looking for a safe place with the professional service in Mexico City – for travel, conferences or business meetings. People here at NH are amazing and care about your wellbeing. Great people, delicious food, immaculate room, professional conference rooms, and working spaces available.

A perfect place to feel well in Mexico City.

This was the worst hotel I have been to my entire life. The hotel staff was not helpful. I requested a particular room that was quiet and had two beds. We were given the run around for 2.5 hours. At one point they recommended a rollaway bed for two grown adults. When they finally provided a room, it was close to the club across the street. The music was so intense and loud, I didn't get to sleep until after 4:30 am every night. The shower leaked into the bathroom. The rooms were barely cleaned. The only good part were the bellhops, they were so helpful when I needed assistance. Everyone else was sub-par.

NH collection was so great, we were treated well by all staff, they were very helpful and accommodating. Our room was on the 9th floor, it was clean and quiet. It was cleaned and replenished daily with towels, etc. The location was so amazing, it was less than 10 min walk to Angel de la independencia, and a lot of the night life areas were all in walking distance. Everything you needed was close by in terms of a 7/11 store, coffee, food, currency exchange, pharmacy. The hotel even has a speak easy bar but we didn’t get a chance to go in it due to time constraints. The hotel pool was nice but we didn’t swim in it. Same as with the gym. The best part about this hotel is that they have a private taxi stand. We mostly did Uber for our closer trips, but we wanted to go to Grutas Tolontongo and we didn’t have a rental car and I didn’t want us to drive ourselves anyway because it’s a 4 hour drive each way into the mountains. A staff member named Bahram informed us that they can set us up with a private driver to take us all the way to Grutas and back and be our private tour guide. We ended up doing it and wow we were SO glad we did. We met up with our driver, Porfirio, in the morning at 7am and he drove us in his personal car (Honda Accord) all the way to Grutas, showed us where to go and what to do there, and let us spend our day on our own time, and then drove us back. He also made any stops we needed such as to go to the bathroom or grab food. He drove us safely, he spoke English, he was so knowledgeable of Mexico and everything about the trip was so easy and great. We had such a good time and it was really the best part of our trip. We then asked Porfirio to take us to the Teotihuacan pyramids (1 hour away) the next day which he did for a great price. It was so worth it, I would strongly recommend this option if you’re going to go anywhere outside of CDXM. Thank you NH collection and Porfirio for a great trip!

The service and facility leaves much to be desired. Staff including the manager seem like they haven't been to other NH hotels where service is more worldly and thoughtful. Slow service and subpar service from front desk where I would request items, ask questions, and follow up, but it would just be forgotten. No accountability or apology from staff. Lack of care and knowledge for hospitality exemplified from the front desk team. Noise level from outside seeped into the rooms, would have liked a heads up about nightlife or at least double glass windows for better sound protection. Noise pollution was heavy into 2-3am with music from Wed-Sun when I stayed. Rooms and facility were dated and needed improvement. Dirty flooring from lots of use, same with the bed frame and furniture. This NH hotel is more on par of a motel and very dated. I would pay a bit more and look at other brand name options if I were to visit CDMX again. The team also keeps printed credit card information unlocked at the front desk, I was shocked when I was checking out about how non-compliant and insecure this very dated method is. My credit card had fraudulent charges the day after I checked out...
