I’ve stayed here about 50 nights on 2021. The hotel appears ro have been beautiful, but it’s prime has passed. It is a 5 star hotel, but an old one. The staff though, makes it all worthwhile. They really try to please you and solve your problems... that is, as much as the old infrastructure allows them to. I had to ask for room changes on more than one occasion. The A/C never reaches your desired temperature. Some bathrooms have issues like clogged drainages, poor water pressure, etc. Wifi is free, but less than optimal, and rooms on certain floors have little to none internet access. The location is amazing, and it compensates for most of their flaws. Pricewise, they are cheap compared to some hotels in the same range, and in the same area. But you can probably do better if you look hard enough.…
Pro: Location. Location. Location. If your main priority is to be in centralized location with nearby points of interest - this is your place. Cons: This place is in desperate need for a major renovation: 1. It gets very warm at nighttime. The a/c system is outdated - to say the least. I had maintenance man bring me a portable a/c unit. 2. The plug holes on the sinks were stuck in the down position. 3. It can get a bit noisy in the late evenings or early mornings with emergency sirens. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t ever stay here again. I was quite disappointed with the hotel accommodations this place has to offer.
This is not my first stay in this hotel, actually I been here 5 months ago, always is my option for the service provided but this time was ignored, I believe they forgot hospitality importance after lockdown. Normally I get an upgrade of my room and a bottle of wine in my room as a VIP perk, I am recognized and is what it is important for me, this time the lack of knowing how to make a difference with the guest is the reason of my disappointment, obviously my agency asked about my experience and my answer is that everything was absent, after this the property decide to block my key and couldn’t enter to my room, the front office argue that I requested a change of room, that wasn’t true even because the WiFi was a nightmare always intermittent of course the room was located in the corner of the hotel far away, the second day they sent the bottle of wine through room service, the manager doesn’t understood the point, isn’t about a gift is about guest experience, imagine the manager mentoring staff in the moments where hotels can’t run full capacity, this is a truly shameful experience, the bellboys excellent thought…
Excellent location, concierge very helpful and very clean. Rogelio, Paulina & Saul that serve at continental breakfast are very helpful, courteous and accommodating. They went out of their way to serve us despite of language barrier.
Service was way beyond our expectations, especially from Edgar who as soon as he found out it was my wife's birthday prepared a special decoration for her at our room, and brought her a cake t ok celebrate. Breakfast in the 22md floor is very good and overall everyone courteous.
