This is a very renowned hotel, with a great service and attention from all personnel. It’s a great option both for business or family stay. The food is really high quality in the different restaurants and the catering for business sessions. It really lives up to fulfill the expectations.

I was on a business trip in Mexico city at the end of September-early October. Upon my arrival to this hotel, during the check in process, a receptionist mistakenly charged more than requested from my bank account. I was told that it was for blocking purposes. But the amount was still several times more than they needed for extra services. They told me I did not need to worry and that money would be reimbursed after a few days. It is almost December now. No refund was made. I lost several hundred dollars because of the mistake of a hotel employee. At first, they were nice and politely responded to my emails. Now they ignore my requests. I do not suggest anyone to choose this hotel.

I was very impressed by the level of service offered at the Marriott reforma. The housekeepers, bellman, concierge, executive lounge staff and room service. Everyone was friendly, called you by name and went out of their way to be helpful. The location is close to everything- street vendors, restaurants and shops. The room was very comfortable and quiet.

The Front Desk Gentleman, who was on the left of the Front Desk lady (by the backroom door on October 26), threatened to cancel our SNA (Suite Night Award) if we didn’t accept a regular room at 3pm then later in the night move ourselves to the Suite once it’s available. He butted into the conversation that the FD lady and I was having. He said in an intimidating voice, “we can cancel your suite, (looking at his computer), do you want me to do it? (Angrily looking at me)!” Shocked, I didn’t say anything. So his threat continued, “I can do it right now!… do you want me to do it?!” I looked at the FD Lady who was kindly helping me and asked if he was the manager. She said no. When she had asked us about going into a regular room I said I prefer not to have to move my things from one room to another. (They never offered to help with the move.) Being a Titanium Elite member means I have stayed many nights at Marriott brand hotels. I have to say that is the first time ever I’ve been threatened by ANY hotel employee of any brand anywhere in the world.

My friend and I were supposed to stay in an AurBnB in Mexico City but it didn’t work out. Fortunately the Marriott Reforma had room for us and we were very pleased with this hotel. They couldn’t have been nicer and the service was just excellent. There is a gym, lap pool, plus two jacuzzis and a friendly bar. Breakfast was delicious and once again the service was lovely. The hotel is in the Roma neighborhood and a good area for walking down the boulevard. We felt very welcome and appreciated the outstanding service.

Place is clean and like a standard Marriott with normal amenities and fine breakfast. Good for business or solo traveler. Near main sites but not in optimal area, Ubers though are fast and easy and safe. Overall decent option

Arrived at 4am after a 12 hour flight and was warmly welcomed & efficiently checked in. Rooms are of a good size, comfy bed & I slept incredibly well. I had loung access which I used for breakfast & an early evening drink, the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive & went out of their way to ensure you have everything you need.

Celebrating my birthday here at this hotel ! And let’s just say, I should I have not moved hotels and stayed at the Hyatt regency Mexico City. At check in , was seeing if they had any room upgrades if available due to my platnium status and my birthday . No upgrades available , which I’m totally fine with. Never will I want to feel entitled to anything I did not pay for . So I just went on and enjoyed my day out in Mexico City . Came back to the hotel after exploring the city, and go to use the bathroom and shower. I notice as I flush the toilet the toilet wasn’t flushing really well which is absolutely fine, things happen. I then notice a weird stench in the restroom and then notice a bunch of water on the floor with small black stuff floating around. I was confused and unaware of where this was coming from . Come to find out there is a leak on the toilet and everytime I flush the drain next to the toilet has stuff coming up out of it ! Still I was bummed but I was okay with it and ditched the shower since the floor was nasty wet and smelled like a sewer. It’s really late at this moment in time since we just got back from hanging out in Mexico City, so I just go to sleep and told myself to just use the bathroom in the gym until the morning so I can ask for a room switch . Now here is where is where I’m a bit not understanding, I now come to the front desk to tell them the incident and to see if they can switch me rooms to one that has a working restroom . They offer to just send maintenance up to fix it and check on things. Sure okay let’s do that, I walk up with the maintenance worker to the room and he does his check. He notices how bad it is and starts attempting to fix the restroom . At this point my girlfriend and I are in the bedroom smelling this horrible stench while waiting for this man to finish fixing the toilet . Hour and a half goes by and the bathroom is crazy flooded and nasty . I go downstairs again to the check in and ask to see if we can just please switch rooms . I don’t want to use my vacation time to just watch this man fix my bathroom . I want to just use the toilet and shower and go on about my day . The gentleman at the front Jorge does let me know he can possibly switch me rooms, I just have to wait until 4pm to check in. I get it rooms may be unavailable etc . But man I’m here for a few days, I want to maximize my birthday vacation and enjoy . Not sit around and wait . The plus side is the workers in the executive lounge are very friendly, hotel is in a nice location. For the price point and with platnium status with Marriott I would like to think they would try to accommodate the inconvenience in a better fashion. I’m not trying to be one of those people who complain over little things, but this has honestly been one weird way of handling things. If I am being out of pocket or being too harsh, I’d love to know if I am .

I travel a lot. Probably 150 nights a year in hotels. I have been to Mexico City many times and in many other hotels in the city. This hotel exceeds expectations in all areas. The staff is simply the best I have run into in the city. The rooms are very nice. The executive lounge is exceptional. It is much larger than normal with better facilities and better staff. Gym, spa and pool are very good. I highly recommend this property and will absolutely return on my next visit to Mexico City. Thank you Is to the wonderful staff for your exceptional work.
