First off I will say the hotel is well located located, its pretty good in terms of rooms, breakfast, staff is helpful, hotel and rooms are clean. MAKE SURE YOU GET YOU BILL AT CHECK OUT! I made the mistake of not looking at it and then got home and was charged over $100usd more than the price i booked. I asked for the bill at check out and they were like "oh we will send it to you". Well of course I never got that bill and called marriott then it got to this hotel. Long story short they charged me for an "extra person" and then breakfast for this "extra person". I accepted their "mistake" and they agreed to refund me. Well then I get my refund and its about $30 less than it should be. I called them on it as they quoted an inflated exchange rate (even though I booked through marriott.com in USD?!). Basically told me to pound sand. Its pretty sad that a hotel branded as a worldwide company would swindle their customers in a time of turmoil like this. So basically what turned in to a really good deal (I go to Mexico City fairly often so saw the price and jumped on it), turned into a major hassle. I'm not sure where this screw up happened but just be aware so the same doesn't happen to you. This will be my last time staying at this hotel. There are other hotels in Mexico City that are just as good, if not better and cheaper. I only stayed here because it was a Marriott property. I'm gold, which apparently means nothing here (no upgrade even though the property is practically empty, but thats fine). I'm giving 2 stars because I am upset at the way this was handled. The property itself is fine, but I still wouldn't stay here again after going through this.…
I was in Mexico city for business trip, and all the staff were great specially Susana Melendez who works in the night shift. she commits to give you the best options and tools so you can be prepared. the attitude is incredible and the customer service is amazing. That is why I recommended 100% in your next trip to Mexico City stay in Marriott and if you encounter any difficulty or issue reach Susana, she will find out the best way.
Currently in Mexico City on a long-term business assignment and could not be more pleased with the friendliness and first-class service of the entire hotel staff, starting each morning with restaurant captain, Eduardo Barrera, server Thalia Estrada, warmly welcoming me with a smile and full breakfast of choice! The central city location is ideal, rooms well appointed with fast-speed Internet, and relaxing spa and pool a perfect way to end the day. Highly recommended for family visits and vacations, conferences, and on any visit to this beautiful capital. Gracias Hotel Reforma! Mark B
I stay in a lot of Marriotts in different countries. The Reforma is an excellent value as it is of equal quality as the more expensive J.W., Design, and Autograph Collection Marriott Hotels. Many delightful staff, all are solicitous. Quality complimentary food, of course it has the usual excellent Marriott bed and cleanliness. It’s a smart choice for anyone needing to stay in the commercial district. If you pay more elsewhere you are wasting your money.
Although restrictions still applied related to the pandemics, we felt extremely safe and very welcome in the hotel. Specially during our breakfasts, the kindness and good service were exceptional. We thank David, Gabriel, Eduardo and all the others for giving us such a good and kind service. The hotel is very well located and we had a terrific time in CDMX!
