We enjoyed our stay here at this location. The rates are decent, cleanliness & safety are good. The hotel layout, installations, services, efficiency, room amenities and breakfast are at a 3-star level (not 5-stars as they promote on the web). I still consider it a good option for someone who wants to stay at a fairly good location close to La Reforma, without having to pay an exuberant rate.
This is my third time visiting Mexico City. I love Reforma because of all the great restaurants, gyms, and shops. The hotel is in a great location. Plenty to do within walking distance. The staff were professional and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was not amazing but hey, it's free. The suite was a good size. Some travelers might disagree (for safety reasons), but I liked the easy access into the hotel. There wasn't a checkpoint with security at the entrance. The front desk is next to the elevator so I'm sure they would flag down suspicious characters if they attempted to breech the hotel. Now the negative... The air-conditioning did not work. The staff checked the AC shortly after I checked in and they said it was on "maximum setting" but literally no air came out. I watched the temp of the room climb higher and higher while the system was on "maximum cool". They brought me a fan which was nice but I had a hard time sleeping because it was still warm in the room. The room itself was clean but the furniture and general condition of the unit was worn. The wifi was spotty and one day it didn't work entirely. The design of the building makes the public spaces very dark and kind of creepy. I ended up checking out on the 3rd day of my 7-day trip and moving to another hotel. This is a great hotel if you are on a budget and do not have high expectations. The staff was the best part of the visit. They are very professional and they do their best to accommodate with the product they have to work with.…
Our room got robbed through the balcony door we found out that if you lock the door from inside you can push the door from outside just easily and open it. It was the only balcony connected to another building even they told us the hotel was empty so why we had to stay at exactly this room. Not even enough I did ask for all the camera material (since they have a lot) and I got told those are fake cameras they don't work. I don't recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel!
Boutique hotel located in a very safe, tourist-friendly neighborhood. Hotel staff were very helpful, courteous and professional. The manager, who we never saw, tried to blame and charge us for a defect in the bathroom, but otherwise, the staff were terrific. No ice machine, but there is an Oxxo at the end of the block. This is a perfect hotel for a first-time traveller to Mexico City.
This hotel is very budget friendly, however you notice where they cut corners. The hotel is very nice and it is clean. My only complaint is about the wifi. It was extremely slow and coming from the U.S., we don't have a cell provider in Mexico so we depend on wifi for certain things. The other complaint is the lack of channels on the television. The breakfast is fine. We only had it once. Overall, I would rate this hotel 3.5 stars out of 5. It wasn't amazing but it wasn't bad. Americans that don't have a good cell provider like AT&T beware of the wifi here.
