This is a fun if quirky place to stay in Guanajuato. The owner has his creative works all over the hotel. You have to ride the funicular to get there but it drops you right in the center of the town square and all the action. Rooms are comfortable, nice patio views. Breakfast is delicious.

My husband and I travel ALOT but I rarely write reviews. Casa Zuniga deserves a good one! Rick (an artist) and his wife Carmen have built an amazing « Art- Compound » .They are both so personable. You really feel welcomed at this incredibly relaxed B&B. One day my husband and I just decided to sit by their pool, enjoying the spectacular view! Definitely recommend !

Once again, a wonderful visit to Casa Zuniga, both Rick and Carmen are well and treated us as on previous visits with a great room, view, and the Breakfasts to fill you up until dinner! So many wonderful dining places when taking the Vehicular down into the town. Parking by the Casa is free and the gentlemen that run it take your bags into the casa also!

Set just off the funicular exit. Great views of the city. We paid a tiny bit extra to get the much, much larger Margherita room. Huge windows on 3 sides. Delicious breakfast was served at 9am and prepared by Rick's wife. Rick commissioned a number of murals on the walls relating to Guanajuato history. We were lucky enough to get him to describe, in detail, stories about both the mines and the siege. Probably more interesting than most Guanajuato guides could have done. Rick provides free tickets to the funicular. we took 4 round tips on it the 3 days we were there. Only once, on a sunday afternoon during a festival, did we have to wait. Highly recommend Casa Zuniga.
