There are cheaper places and certainly places closer to the centre of town. But this accommodation is amazing. It is three stacked apartments, cleaned weekly, absolutely charming and a pleasure to return to after a day in town. Bus on the corner otherwise a 15 minute walk to Alhondiga and another 15 to the middle of everything. The best thing... More

I stayed in the third floor apartment over three weeks in February 2015 and was very comfortable there. I especially appreciated the many amenities of the apartment, including a nice rooftop patio with a view of the city and mountains beyond, unlimited use of the full-size washer and dryer (with laundry detergent) on the rooftop, a filtered water system and... We stayed the month of December 2014 in the Alhondiga house. It was very nicely decorated and well equipped in every room, esp. the kitchen. Mike, the owner, was very cordial and helpful whenever we had questions. The only issue for us was all the steps from street level up to the house, but we got used to them over... More

I stayed at the Vintage Guanajuato suites twice, both times on the third level. The suite was beautifully decorated with traditional crafts, the kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies, and the shower has lots of hot water. I appreciated the filtered water and coffee + sugar on hand. I work for an on-line marketing company and need a stable... More

The casita is just as described and it's perfect! Little amenities -extra towels, kitchen utensils, extra blankets, internet, etc- made us feel like home. Even getting to the house gives you some needed exercise -if you know Guanajuato's streets you'll know what we mean- after all the delicious mexican food you'll find around the city. It's centrally located yet away... More

We stayed in the Alhondiga House for 5 weeks. It was absolutely a positive experience. The house was decorated in nice traditional Mexican style, very well furnished and fullfilled all our needs, plus an amzing front yard full of oranges and limes, and a roof of beautiful view of the city. The owners - Mike and Ana have been such... More

I have stayed at Casa Alhondiga twice and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The house is comfortable, well appointed, clean and secure. The location is very convenient to downtown, transportation and markets. The owners are well organized, available and very responsive. A good value.

I stayed at the El Juguete suite for three month this summer. The host welcomed me, showed me the suite and gave me some useful informations about Guanajuato. The suite is beautiful with Mexican decorations and there is a nice terrace on the roof. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is big enough and has the necessary to cook, the... More

The casa is located in a friendly neighbourhood, well maintained with a huge terrace to enjoy the wonderful views of Guanajuato. Picking your own oranges and limes is an additional bonus for breakfast or 'happy hour' from the fruit trees in the front yard. I really enjoyed my stay at the casa as this was my first time in Guanajuato... More

Have just spent the past 4 months (January to/including April 2014) in this wonderful house - loved it! Everything you can want is provided (including extra heaters during the unusual cold in January), and the decor/decorations are lovely. Comfy furniture (especially the beds). Sra. Rosa is a really good housekeeper. The callejón is a great street to be on -... More
