My wife and I returned to the Antiguo Vapor for the fourth time and enjoyed our stay as much as ever. The location and secure parking are certainly a plus, but the friendly staff and beautiful building are why we keep returning. Pilar, the owner always goes out of her way to make us feel welcome. The included breakfast of...

Definitely overpriced. Structure is nice and this what the hotel relies on; for the rest any kind of service is missing; staff unkind (first thing they ask you is to settle the bill) and unhelpful, as only the owner can make decisions over the phone, including as to whether your request to change room since there is not hot water...

In the center of Guanajuato you will find this nice hotel with a splendid view of this magnificent old cultural city. The building is nicely reconstructed, the rooms big and always clean. The stuff is really very attentive and helpful. The bed is harder the normal but I slept well possibly by the walking down and up to the hills...

2 adults, one 8-year-old, three nights. We were in Los Cardinales which is a suite with futon/TV in first room and a really spacious room with attached bath in second room. One balcony overlooking the Mercado. This hotel is in a great location (as long as you can walk up/down hill a few hundred meters). It has parking (we did...

We have property in GTO and are in the process of renovation, so we arrived with a truck full of materials and needed secure parking. Antiguo Vapor is centrally located and is the only place I found with truly secure parking, every other place that offers parking will valet park you in the public garage. Rooms in the back are...

We stay here more visits to the GTO capital city. This place is a bit pricey but when you consider that parking is included I feel it is worth it. Nice city views and great breakfast. Rooms are super clean and the staff is helpful and most speak English. Cash only gets you a discount.

We enjoyed our stay in this charming city. The hotel's location is in the historic center and perfect for walking around the city. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are clean and our room, La Paloma, had an oversized bathtub and balcony. Be sure to ask for Raul Torres for a walking tour. He can show you...

I do not at all understand where the good reviews come from. Though the general quality is ok, the room we stayed in was too dark, and the bed way too hard. Also wifi connection in the room was poor. Breakfast really was a joke. Good location, staff is friendly (though no personal attention is to be expected), but paying...

We were a walking distance to the Mercado Hidalgo, the Alhondiga, and a wonderful beautiful relaxing park called "Jardin Reforma." We spent wonderful afternoons there watching people feeding the birds. Breakfast was included with fresh fruit, coffee, and pan. If you are still hungry, you can buy additional very good food. Room "Los Jilgueros" has no common walls with any...

We booked this hotel based on all the great reviews. We would agree that it is a quaint hotel in a good location, and that the staff is very helpful, and the view of the city is wonderful. Unfortunately, the walls are paper thin ( we might as well have been sharing a room with the people across the hall)....
