Tons of fun sightseeing to do all within walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is beautifu and very historic. The rooms are a bit noisy, but it's a small price to pay for being in the heart of Guanajuato!

This is where the action is! In the heart of Guanajuato! Yes, the hotel us old but THAT is the charm! It is romantic, the foyer is like an art gallery. Restaurant inside as well as outdoors where the action is. In the evening, it all becomes magic!! The lights, the bands in the Plaza major, the strolling musicians and... More

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean, and the elevator was really helpful for my family (I traveled with a handicap person). I really liked the decoration of the hotel and the paintings. I just wished I bought the book they sold with the history of the paintings! I'd stay there again!

This hotel is very old, however the location is AWESOME. You are in the middle of everything, the rooms are very small and get use to having No A/C but we didn't spend much time in the room. Guanajuato has soo much to offer. Breakfast was Not Good, walk over to Casa Valadez Restuarant for way better food for the... More

If you want a modern hotel with air conditioning, this place is not for you. If you want to watch the world go by from a hotel with character and a friendly staff-this is your place. Great breakfast included.

We were three male seniors on vacation. Were provided a spacious room with two double beds, very clean. Hotel location is tops for getting around on foot. Sits on the edge of a small but very beautiful and lively plaza. You can sit outside, enjoy some food and drinks and listen to nice music every night.

We loved this hotel. The service was great and the hotel is beautiful with lots of history. But best of all it is right on the square with lots of places to eat and near many historic buildings. There are people playing music and families strolling about and enjoying all the local amenities. Don't miss the Callejoneadas (a walk through... More

This is a precious hotel, located right in the center of the city, getting there by car is a mess but once you are there, you are so close to everything that it is worth it. The atmosphere is old and refined, the rooms that see to the plaza can get loud at night but in general the glass door,... More

Great, historic hotel with nice clean rooms. Some folks mentioned the noise from musicians on the square. If you're a light sleeper, this could be an issue, but we requested a room on the jardin and loved it. The cool breeze with the patio door open was the perfect refreshing start to each day. The location simply can't be beat... More

Lovely old hotel! Well kept and the staff is great. Everyone at the front desk spoke English and arranged for us to hire an English speaking tour guide. The location is perfect as it is on the main square and there is always lots going on! A little noisy, but we have been in noisier place So!!
