My wife brought me here for my first visit and we stayed at this hotel which I was very impressed with the staff was very helpful and friendly it is very unique and quiet....yes there are a lot of stairs but they are putting in an elevator LOL. Upon arrival I had to carry our suitcase for the two of us up 3 flights of stairs. Then I was greeted with a room that was the size of most hotels bathrooms. The room had a kitchenette, however no utensils, no dishes, no nothing. Not that I wanted a kitchenette but what is the purpose of one that doesn't...

I give it a 4 because of the location and the cleanliness of the place. It seemed that the staff was constantly cleaning the place... and the hotel is fairly large. Don't know how many rooms there are, but there are four levels. At the beginning, the place makes you think of a labyrinth, almost like the Harry Potter school...

Four delightful nights in Guanajuato at this unique hotel. Very convenient to everything. Super nice staff and great light/balcony in our fourth floor room. Understand some of the lower rooms kind of dark. Rooftop terrace beautiful. Super super clean top to bottom. This hotel has lots of flights of stairs twisting up/down throughout the building, so tough if you are...

The staff was so welcoming, helpful and friendly! That was just the beginning. The rooms and entire property are so uniquely decorated and comfortable You know that you are in a colonial city in Mexico. And to boot, you are close to several lovely museums, the mercado and just about everything there is to see,

While I give this hotel 3 stars (which to me means average--not substandard), my friends and I enjoyed the place and I would stay here again. Guanajuato is one of my favorite cities in the world. It is breathtakingly beautiful and so alive. El Meson de los Poetas is very convenient to everything. It is half a block away from...

No one at the hotel warned us that they are undergoing major remodeling and reconstruction before we checked in for our 5- night (prepaid stay). There was loud noise (hammering and drilling) all day long which pretty much ruined our stay in Guanajuato. Our fourth floor room was dark and cramped with a window facing the public hallway, which meant...

My husband and I stayed here for four nights and enjoyed our stay but there are a few things to consider carefully. Starting with the positive, let me say that the staff work hard to be accommodating and to keep the place running very smoothly. We found the front desk help to be especially friendly and efficient. The place itself...

Gorgeous hotel very art oriented. Located a few steps from the cathedral and Diego Riveras museum. Love the location. Rooms are big. Rooms are very clean. Super nice employees. Only downsides to this hotel, are they don't have an elevator, rooms are really cramped closed to each other and it's like a maze making it hard to find you room.

My husband and are actually still here as write this review . We have been here a few days now and just love it here. We are only about 5 minute walk to the centre of everything . This hotel is such a quaint place with all the different nooks and corners . I have to say though, I have...
