Very nice hotel ask for a room with a balcony. This is a great location for a one or two day stay. The down side is the nights can be quite noisy..TIL 1 AM? Also on the second floor is their Italian restaurant enjoyed cocktails and a great steak

This hotel has a great location overlooking the Jardin de la Union (i.e., the main plaza in Guanajuato) and the San Diego Church. We upgraded to a balcony room overlooking the Jardin. During the day it is heaven as you can people watch to your heart's content on a beautiful Juliet balcony. The king size bed is a true king size bed! The bathroom was very nice with the best water pressure in Mexico. But, there is no A/C (my understanding is there is no A/C in the vast majority of hotels in Guanajuato). In May, it can get very hot. The room does cool down after about 1am with the patio doors open. But, the party goes on until around 3am in Guanajuato. Even with ear plugs, it can be difficult to sleep. At around 5am, the workers come out with their machines to clean the streets. If you are a night owl and like to party, a balcony room at this hotel is for you! If you go to sleep before 11:00pm, you may want to get an interior room. No breakfast at this hotel, but coffee and water is available near the elevators early in the morning.

The hotel is right in the main square, next to the Theatro Juarez! In a non driving area so be prepared to be dropped off near the hotel not right in front!! Your definitely here for it’s location , our room was on the inside courtyard which is has less noise! Our room was clean and spacious and the bathroom was too , no real problems , the shower drain was extremely slow though and the WiFi was very spotty! Staff was fine , hair dryer given from from front desk. They are still working on redoing the rooms here over all was a decent stay!

This hotel is nicely rehabbed within the rooms. Curiously, they provide no glass wear or even plastic cups or coffee makings within the room. No ice service. There is mediocre (being kind) coffee provided in the lobby in the morning. We went to Oxxo. The room numbering is confusing. There is an elevator but even when taking it you may need to able to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs— not a problem for us but if there is any issue with that declare it on check in. There is a nice outdoor seating area on a deck top and the restaurant in the hotel (not affiliated with the hotel) had great food and service and scenic views from main balcony onto the Jardin. The first night we were in Room 310, a Monday night in January, there was lots of revelry from the Jardin but within reason on decibel levels and it stopped by midnight. The second night, a Tuesday in January, the noise from a bar across the street was unbearable. It went on past 3:30 a.m. and then they started cleaning up loudly screeching metal on metal. We got no sleep at all. The hotel should not assign this room to anyone as on nights when the bar is going full blast as it is essentially uninhabitable. We were with a small group and one other couple reported the same or similar noise problem, but I do not know their room number. There are apparently many rooms where the noise is not an issue, but 310 is not one of them.

We had an inside room so it wasn’t nearly as noisy as the other reviews have claimed. Basic simple room with a small bathroom. The bathroom needs some attention - there was some mould in the shower and on the tiles and the sink facet sends water to the backsplash and then the floor. We asked for 2 drinking glasses and were given styrofoam cups. Not what is expected of a 3 plus star hotel. Would stay again only because off the location.
