Our trip to Guanojuato was nothing short of spectacular given the unexpected delights that awaited us at Casa del Rector. We were greeted warmly by the staff who tended to our every need once we arrived. Some notable dining spaces were the quaint bkfast area w a Parisian atmosphere, the elevated outdoor lounge/patio and bar which surrounds you w art and architectural structures that are pleasing to the eye. No detail or inch was overlooked in the architectural design of Casa del Rector and if this wasn’t enough the elevator takes you to a rooftop pool, lounge/patio and bar that overlooks all of Guanajuato. The views are breathtaking. We were even serenaded by a mariachi band while enjoying a cocktail one evening because we were fortunate enough to be there during an unexpected proposal. Our experience was such that we dined in quite often because the food and drink menu and the service was above caliber, we wanted to take every opportunity to enjoy the luxury of this hotel. Thank you so much Casa del Rector for taking such good care of us, we plan to visit again and stay even longer.

This is a stunning property well situated in the beautiful charming old Spanish colonial city of Guanajuato., We loved the staff, extremely helpful and always going out of their way to please. The architectural aspects of this hotel juxtaposes ultra modern with the Spanish Colonial theme of the city. The rooms are grand. Mine had 20 foot ceilings and marble bathroom counters. The restaurant is one of the best in the city with only al fresco seating available. From the restaurant veranda you can take an all glass elevator up to the "roof top" bar/pool level, which I highly recommend, either day or night even if you are unable to stay here. The view of the city is spectacular, and not to be missed. Great bartenders as well! I would recommend that you not stay in rooms 2,3, or 4 which are closest to the stairs, as quests from the bar and restaurant will all be walking in front of your room. We had some less than considerate bar patrons that were having way too much fun around midnight when I was attempting to sleep. That having been said at check out we booked a stay for 2020, but in a different quieter area of the property. One of our very best trips, and highly recommended!!

Found this great little hotel by chance, just walking by. The rooftop lounge is a fantastic jewel. The view second to none, the staff were great, on a warm day with a light breeze, best we found. Decided to have dinner in the courtyard, we cancelled our previous reservation elsewere, and it was well worth it. The service was excellent ( thanks Memo) and the food was enjoyed by all four or us. Limited but Good wine list is also a plus. Well recommended!

Really loved finding this gem of a bar and staying a while. The rooftop is accessible by a glass elevator after the 2nd (or 3rd?) floor? Sweeping views and a small infinity pool plus a great deck to enjoy perfect concoctions of cocktails. The best bartender is Alfonso, next best is Cristian. I ordered a gin drink (with cardamom and grapefruit) and a mezcal drink (with ginger and lemon) and both of them were pure perfection. Truly enjoyed the calmness of the bar and plenty of seating. Cocktails not cheap at 160 pesos a pop, but I think it is worth it for the excellent service and vibe
