the best thing i can say about the serena is that its adjacent to the bus station and if yr looking for a place to sleep thats convenient for a night ..then the serena is tolerable. my room was small and marginally clean w/ hot water ,a bed and an old tv....all for about $35 usd per night. the hotel exudes no charm whatsoever. there is a 24 hour restaurant attached . i had a tolerable plate of pasta. they did issue me a fr5ee drink coupon as an esteemed guest so i had a free XX as well.
Guadalajara Hotel Serena Ave. Heroes 107 Phone numbers (--) In November 2005 I paid 460 pesos per night for one person in a room with double bed. I had room 428. A nice room, although it seemed expensive for Mexico. There was plenty of hot water and cable TV. I asked for a quiet room in the back, and that's what I got. Dark curtains helped me to sleep late the next morning. I would stay there again I guess. It doesn't have the colonial charm that many people will want when going to Mexico, but it's still a nice place with air conditioning and quietness. to editor: there is another hotel using this name, but the address is different A web page reference to them: (--)
