Three girlfriends went into Guadalajara and stayed at Villa Ganz. Kuddos to Armando and his staff! Everything was wonderful, and the staff could not have been more attentive. We asked for recommendations for dinner and were not disappointed. Highly recommend!

My sister and I stayed for a long weekend at Villa Ganz and it was the best decision we could have made. The location was great - walking distance from the incredible bars and restaurants that the Colonia Americana is known for and a short taxi from the city center. The hotel is on a quiet street and its garden feels like an oasis. The room was comfortable and charming, though a bit dated and had a bit of a musty smell. What made this stay exceptional was the staff. Every team member we interacted with was warm, professional, and servicial. We could sense the pride that each team member had in Villa Ganz. This is not your typical chain-brand hotel stay. If you are looking for a unique experience in a good neighborhood and an exceptional staff, Villa Ganz is the place for you!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay here. Alejandro and the rest of the staff were very friendly & professional. The hotel was lovely. We only ate one meal there, breakfast which was nice. They ordered in for us late one night from a restaurant we forgot the name of which had good pasta. The provided personal laundry service upon request and housekeeping was wonderful too. There was always free and easy access to bottled, sufficient air conditioning and so many wonderful restaurants within walking distance. We hope to return soon!

My husband and I celebrated our wedding at Villa Ganz Hotel Boutique. The garden and patio are beautiful and a perfect setting for an outdoor event. We also enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the patio. Our room was charming, clean and comfortable, with a view of the garden. The manager and staff are great, they made our stay the best. My husband and I will definitely be back. We highly recommend Villa Ganz for a wonderful experience. Mr. & Mrs. Muñoz

Our room #15 was very unique on the second floor with a hammock and small balcony. Service was top notch with the staff always being attentive. Location was close to restaurants and bars in the area. And an easy Uber to main tourist areas. I highly recommend over a normal chain hotel

Elegant and beautiful hotel, comfortable bed in a luxurious setting and garden. Location in a lovely and quiet neighborhood. 24 hr doorman. The only thing we wished the breakfast was a litte better.

People who expect every room to be identical might want to confirm which room they get. Otherwise, I loved this place. The people who manage it, particularly Arnaldo and Paulina, are so warm and friendly that I felt like they were family. I also loved the fact that the hotel had originally been a private mansion, so there are all kinds of lovely details everywhere. The garden is a pleasant retreat from a full day of sightseeing. The location is great, right near the Colonia Americana, which is full of hip cafes and upscale restaurants, all within easy walking distance. I was sad to leave! (A tiny nit: some of the towels were a bit worn. But you can always ask for a replacement.)

We were really looking forward to staying at Villa Ganz after reading so many excellent reviews. I am sorry to say it did not meet our expectations. The hotel is quite pretty and has a lovely garden. The room was spacious with nice robes and slippers and looked fine but when you dig deeper there are problems. The water pressure in the shower was very poor as were the plain wrap shampoo and shower gel. No conditioner or any other bathroom amenities were provided. The only english TV channel was lifetime...no news channel and the TV was very difficult to work. As for breakfast, I can't understand why anyone would say it was excellent. It was the same every day. Packaged sliced toast, fruit that was only partly ripe, oj and coffee. The eggs for an added charge were fine. Also, it was a very, very long walk to the historical center not just a few blocks away. I suggest the hotel consider offering a shuttle service to the historical area. On the plus side, Armando and his staff were very welcoming and helpful seeming to want to please guests and be available for anything we needed. I think the hotel could be a very elegant one with some attention to detail and upgrades.

We loved every minute of this boutique hotel. If you are looking for the big chain amenities this is not your place. If you are looking for a lovely quiet, clean bespoke and just perfect place to stay then this is your place. Hernando was a true gem, nothing was every to much trouble. He needs to be held onto and promoted he is a true star and adds so much value to the experience, he went and picked up my lost top, he was always so attentive to everyone needs. He is just fantastic.thank you so much Hernando for all you did for us.

Definitely a 'recommend'. My wife and I were visiting Guadalajara over the Christmas and New Year holidays. We had booked at another hotel that had horrible service, even though it was a lovely property. Fortunately, we had to leave due to some special event, so we went to Villa Ganz for the second half of our visit. Oh, if only we started at Villa Ganz. What a great hotel! The staff were simply amazing... attentive to every detail, happy to just sit and chat about the hotel, the city and themselves if you're so inclined. The garden was lovely to relax in, either to read, fire up a laptop and sip tea. The cat, 'Bu-Ba' was a great perpetual companion as well, snoozing in various spots around the hotel. Breakfast was simple but good, basically chilaquiles or eggs as you like them. The location is great, while not super close to the historical center, we enjoyed walking about the 'Americana' neighborhood very much... lots of trees and seemingly a tasty cafe or brilliant restaurant on every other corner. When we return to Guadalajara, we will stay at Villa Ganz.
