After a bit of a rough start at check in, due to the fact that someone in charge of our group decided to play favorites and switch my room on the 32nd floor to a room on the 3rd floor... Not the hotel's fault and they did eventually correct the problem... i would agree with the many other reviews of... More

Excellent hotel, the rooms are large and very comfortable. Wonderful beds, nice shower, room safe, great views. Wonderful breakfast. Negative would be the elevators that can be frustratingly slow and getting into the breakfast room on a sunday where there is a line of locals. Sort of informal lobby which is good if you don't have much luggage. Plenty of... More

there is no restaurant review for the RIU hotel in gdl so I have to place this review on the hotel section. I had the pleasure of having breakfast at the RIU restaurant for the 2nd time and I must share with all of you. This is probably the most expensive breakfast if you are not a guest at the... More

The Riu is a first class hotel. Nice rooms with wonderful views. The only reason for me not to give 5 stars is that it is just not my style. It is a very modern hotel and to me feels a little cold. Staff always helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is outstanding with a wide range of choices. In... More

Enjoyed staying in this nice new clean hotel. Comfortable and spacious room, free Internet and a great buffet breakfast. Minibar was stocked with complementary pairs of water, soda and even beer (2 cans only!) Views over the city and surrounding hills were impressive. Only negative was small gym -- limited machines only.

I have stayed in RIU hotels all the time and unfortunately this has been nothing like the other Riu's I have been to. The check in was horrible. I arrived in the morning and they couldn't find my reservation. After waiting a very long time, I finally had to leave to work and left my luggage with the hotel. They... More

First time in Guadalajara. Business trip, great property. Rooms are top notch, service was great and would reccommend this to anyone. And the breakfast buffet had a wide range of American and local items that would satisfy anyone....Remember, hotels con;t exchange currency so get local pesos when you enter the country or from ATM's or other local exchanges. The only... More

We had a death in the family, the hotel reservations manager Rosamaria Mondragon was the most unhelpful person. We tried to cancelled it or even change days. She was rude, and told us that those were personal matters that she was not running charity. We explained that we were the ones financing the funeral of my father and could not... More
