The Hostel was simply dirty. They had no towels for rent. The bathroom was gross. Not sure how they received all those awards. Management let go of the property. Had a lot of potential. I only paid $10 per night so I guess that's the tradeoff. I tried to call/email them a week before for questions about their Hostel and...

Guadalajara can get pretty damn hot and this was the only hostel a could find with a pool. This hostel feels a little more like a home than a hostel. The breakfast is great, fruit, toast, yogurt, cereal

We stayed here for NYE and it was super fun. All the staff quickly became our friends, and were all really helpful. Really lets you get into the Mexican way of life. Clean rooms, kitchen, pool is great, walking distance to lots of markets and museums. Cannot fault this place!

I initially booked this hostel for a couple of nights but extended it by another two nights. I booked myself in the mixed dorm, which was cleaned everyday and kept very well. The breakfast is good enough with fruit, cereal, toast, yogurt, jam, milk and coffee. The location is really good, just fifteen minute walk to the downtown and historic...

Great atmosphere, the staff is awesome and the location is ideal to walk around downtown and Chapultepec area. Great options to eat, drink and party in the neighborhood. The hostel have a pool and hammocks to chill after a long day of sightseeing, from the reception they can arrange tours to Tequila, Huachimontones, Chapala... Etc.

I had spent my first weekend here (two days) in Guadalajara before staying with a host family for two weeks to learn Spanish. I paid 450 pesos for each night and a single bed with a private bathroom. Within the first few hours, I had made new friends and was able to find street food relatively quickly around the corner....

This hostel is in a classical colonial building which has a nice swimming pool and a nice common area. The dorm room was a bit cold for me but it was spacious enough and it was with a big ensuite bathroom and I was satisfied with. The staff was very friendly and useful as well. The location, however, for me...

Tequila Backpackers is made by the staff. They were fantastic from start to finish. Gabby, Fernando and Juan Carlos couldn't have been more helpful and friendly if they tried! They gave us a great introduction to the city (with map) explaining all the good sites and things to do. The hostel itself is well equipped, clean and has good common...
