The photos online make this look incredibly pretty. It isn’t. The outside is covered in graffiti and the iron bars on the windows definitely serve a practical function in this part of town. The interior courtyards are dusty, cluttered, and strewn with broken furniture. We probably caught them in the middle of renovations, I assume, because everything smelled like paint,...

I stayed at this hotel as part of a 12 day road trip throughout Mexico. It was my least favorite hotel of the 7 we stayed at. Let me explain: from the beginning, it was a bit difficult to find the hotel and driving in was inconvenient. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that we had to...

Lovely historic hotel currently in upheaval. Many of the doors had been damaged. We ended up in a renovated room which was lovely but heard every sound in the hotel, including a couple that were talking loudly (yelling?) most of the night. Internet went down for one of our nights. The website is also unreliable. Contact us was a dead...

The staying at the the San Francisco Hotel made my visit to Guadalajara very unconfortable. WiFi was not working most of the time, the attitude of the front desk people the worst and I did tried different approaches. Terrible rooms my army barracks are better than the rooms san fransico has. It's a low class hotel and prostitutes available at...

The biggest mistake in choosing this hotel was to believe in the reviews; how these people dare to write a good review of this horrible hotel? Overall, the rooms are depressing and staff is rude. The rooms and bathrooms are dingy, very uncomfortable beds. If you take a shower after 8 AM you will be fighting cool and hot water....

We stayed in the Hotel San Francisco Plaza. One must first understand it is a Mexican hotel, which is very different than a US hotel. If you want an “American” hotel then go stay in one of the chain hotels one would find in the states. But you will miss a great deal that way. That being said, the hotel...

Lovely old hotel, clean and comfortable and conveniently located. The room was air-conditioned on the 2nd floor and quite large. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel restaurant was good and reasonably priced. The bathroom could use an update, but otherwise a good value and a nice place to stay

This hotel is located very centrally. The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and courteous.Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. The front desk was very helpful with places to eat and general directions..including where NOT to go for safety reasons...always a plus in a city where you do not speak the language. Our room was...
