Safe and friendly place to stay. A hostel with private rooms. There is a shared kitchen and roof top terrace. A quiet property in a relatively central neighbourhood. The public market and a couple of decent eating options are nearby. About 20 minutes walk to the old center. Clean rooms.

Since 2012, every time when I come to Guadalajara I stay in this little hotel. I really like its location (close to the metro station Refugio and only 15-minute walk from the cathedral) and its ambiance. At the terrace you'll have a terrific view of the neighborhood (and sunset). There are all kinds of facilities, including a nice kitchen. The...

I started 2015 with a sightseeing trip to Guadalajara and stayed at Hostel Refugio for a week. The place is well located, very reasonably priced and in walking distance to many sites. It was clean and nice and the hosts Miriam and Gustavo were really nice and helpful. Since I am only a beginner in Spanish, it was very helpful...

Great place: affordable, clean, safe, reliable wifi. Booked 3 nights and ended up staying 3 weeks-ask about weekly and monthly rates. The owners are super helpful and friendly and happy to answer any questions about Guadalajara. The location is great. It's in a quiet mostly residential area but there are plenty of stores and places to eat less than 5...

Hostel Refugio is the hostel where we got upon our arrival to Mexico and where we stayed for more than one month. It is just a perfect place to stay in Guadalajara, you have everything: clean room, well equipped kitchen, and the most important - very nice people living there on a regular basis, coming from all over the Mexico....
