Top floor corner room, gorgeous view, two beds, bathroom is combo toilet shower and sink. Sink lhad a bit of a leak below, so put towel down at bath entrance to dry feet. Toilet handle hung off but still flushed fine, just jiggle to stop it running. Shower temp was cold sometimes and warm water sometimes - usually in the morning. Balcony had one hammock, two chairs and small table. Used railing and chairs to hang towels and suits to dry as did everyone else which worked out well. Ants came in every night looking for food and would be gone by morning. Kept all food in ziplocks which worked great to keep them out. No fridge, it would be good to get a small one added to each room for cold drinks. Flat screen TV w cable that included movie channels mostly dubbed to Spanish but one is English w Spanish subtitles. Do bring earplugs or use the fan for sleeping as there are no quiet hours. Water dispenser in the lobby you can fill your bottles from. WiFi is set up in the lobby so is strongest there . Jesus was wonderful! He answered our questions, picked us up and brought back to the airport - very easy to spot wearing the Rossy bright blue polo shirt. He even let us stop at the Mega on our way in from the airport! Be sure to tip him for transportation and hauling bags! Housekeeping came everyday and left wonderful towel creations on one of the beds! The location and price cannot be beat, its maybe half a block down the street from La Ropa beach. We will be back many more times!…
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights between Christmas and new years. It is a fine hotel. A typical Mexican style hotel. It was very busy as is to be expected during this time of the year. Very clean rooms and the staff were very helpful. Great value for the $$$. I would stay there again.
On friends recommendation we stayed 2 nights before our booked Villa was ready to occupy. The rooms were very clean and Jesus the day manager was VERY helpful and courteous during our stay. The pool area and bar were also very nice and accommodating. Just a block off the beach and right on the bus line and main taxi thoroughfare, its an ideal location. The great El Viga restaurant is just down the block as well! Very convenient. Very nice and reasonable place to stay!
This is my 4th year staying on the top floor at Hotel Rossy. I think it's the best bargain in Zihuatenejo. Clean, comfortable, quiet, reasonable price and very friendly staff. Only a five minute walk to the beach Playa la Ropa where you will find Rossy's Restaurant. The food is totally awesome & a v reasonable price. Check out the BIG seafood platter. For a special treat order a PINA COLADA from Timotea. Best in town! And don't forget the rooftop dining & dancing on the rooftop patio Thurs, Fri & Sat with Steve & Friends band from Seattle. Awesome place to watch the sunset and make new friends! I'm usually on the beach with a Modelo Especial in hand by 10:30. C U at ROSSY'S!! Cristobal Colon
I was looking for a hotel near "La Ropa". I found this hotel surfing the internet. I made reservation with a bank deposit. The hotel is good, confortable and the most amazing thing is that is cheap. The rooms are good for the price. We stayed there 3 nights and it was fine. I had just an issue with the AC but nothing to worry about. Told the guy in charge of the hotel about the AC and he fixed. There are a couple of little stores that close at 10pm so if you need something like water, beer or a snack you can go there and buy something. I think I will give a 5 star rating cause the hotel was cheap even it was in high season.
