Casa de las piedras was breathtaking!! Grace was the most accommodating host to us. There were 7 of us girls (yes, 7!) staying here for a bachelorette party. She surprised us by meeting us at the airport and drove some of the girls (the others took a taxi) back to her place. It was filled with conveniences (beer in the... More

Sometimes there simply aren't words to describe adequately the impact a place or person can have. Staying at Casa de las Pedras in the Casa Bambu and having the opportunity to meet and spend time with Grace are two examples. The jungle surroundings are just breathtakingly beautiful and are enhanced by the sound of the crashing waves on the beach... More

Grace's place is amazing, just as herself - amazing person and host. Location is good as well, 2 min walk to beach, where all the restaurants and cafes are placed. Would never change this hotel for European style hotels, this is just the one for staying in Zihuatanejo :)

My wife and I rented the two bedroom casa perched up the hillside in the woods five minutes (80 steps) above La Ropa beach. If you like fresh air, serenity, birds and wildlife then you'll love Las Piedras. We felt secure even though we were living outdoors in the unlocked compound. Grace, the proprietor, has lived in Zihua for ever... More

I've stayed at Casa de las Piedras now twice in the past 2 years and have had a great experience both times. You are sleeping on the hillside among the trees and just steps above Zihua's main beach La Ropa. Plenty of restaurants close by, beach activities, and a close walk to town. Grace, the owner, is a kind and... More

I just got back from a vacation with my husband and two of our friends. Casa de las Piedras blew me away. I loved the hummingbirds and the tiny spotted skunk and the amazing flora. The kitchen was equipped with what we needed - even a coffee grinder and one of those lever-arm citrus juicers so we could take advantage... More

I just got back from a week in Zihuatenejo at the wonderful Casa de las Piedras. The location is perfect - just up the hill from the best beach in the area. There were just enough amenities to be comfortable and the layout was designed to be very peaceful and natural. I miss it already. Grace was a wonderful hostess... More

I stayed with Grace over New Years Eve. I will say this... Grace I had a GREAT time, you were so welcoming, warm, sweet, and kind. I tell everyone I know to go to Zihua and when they do to stay at your place. I felt like I was so close but yet so far from civilization. Thank you for... More

I just got home from a wonderful trip to Zihuatanejo, Mexico. We stayed at Casa de las Piedras for 12 days in the hummingbird house. It was so nice having our little home away from home to go back to at the end of the day after long days adventuring/spent at the beach. The hummingbird house is equipped with a... More

This eco-travelers' bungalow hideaway is nestled in the hillside above the beautiful Playa La Ropa Beach. It's just a 5 minute walk down to the sand (but a 10 minute hike back up the steps to the property). Casa de las Piedras has three bungalows. My husband and I stayed in the spacious namesake bungalow, Casa de las Piedras, which... More
