Bara de Potosi is a wonderful spot, friendly folks, great food, many fine local establishments. Alas, this hotel is NOT one of them! God, where to start, firstly we were told credit card machine was not working, so we had to fork out cash for our stay, there are not bank machines to be found. That left us with little...

Barra de Potosi is a small village. On vacation I enjoy to have a rural, quiet, friendly, home away from home. I found Laura's "Casa del Encanto" while walking through the village. Read nothing, heard nothing, just walking past and was drawn in by an ineffable quality. Was at home and moved in within an hour. A fine place to...

Traveler alert! This place is terrible! Barra de Potosi is a lovely and hospitable place, and there are plenty of small and gracious bed and breakfasts - this is not one of them. We were naive enough to pay in advance with a 'broker', and when we arrived, were put in a dirty flea- infested room with no hot water....
