Two Thumbs Up!!

Amazing place, amazing staff. Staying at this place brought me back to a time when hospitality was at the forefront of a hotels goals. With all the cutbacks now that you see everywhere when we stay someplace we are lucky to get our beds made. Cintya has a great staff. Marta, Elizabeth and the men that are at the ready if anything needs tweaking. Our beds were made every day, drinking water was replenished, pools and public areas spotlessly cleaned. Staff seem very happy. It all comes from the upper management and Cintya has it all covered. We already booked for next year. We can’t wait to return to such an amazing place.

This is by far the best place ever. The room is amazingly decorated and has everything that you need, kitchen, silverware, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, laundry service. The most comfortable bed ever, great pillows, soft robes to wear. The staff cares about you and your every need, the Manager Cintya is just amazing, caring and helpful, anything that you need or where you would like to go she is your go to person, she takes care of you from the time you check-in to check-out. Marta, cooks (her food is delicious) and cleans and makes a mean margarita (from what we hear) unfortunately we do not drink. Lizbeth, Irvin and Manuel are always available for anything that you may need. Irvin and Manuel can definitely carry your luggage for you. They have room service, also a set up at the pool of free coffee and pastries in the AM for everyone to join together. The atmosphere is just amazingly peaceful and beautiful. They could not have been more courteous as we were leaving, (Irvin and Manuel) taking the luggage to the cab that Cintya called for us to be picked up at a certain time for the airport. Very clean pool and plunge pool, everything is taken care of so precisely, the place is just BEAUTIFUL and the workers are true FAMILY once you arrive. We have already booked for next year as well, this will be our new get away for a long time. We have been frequent travelers of Zihuatanejo, Mexico for approximately 23 years, and love it dearly. The location is the best as well, walking distance to the beach and Restaurants.

We were fortunate to discover this hidden gem through friends & have gone back several times. The staff are always friendly and never change & our stay always starts with welcoming hugs from Cintya (the manager) while Irvin & Manuel take charge of our luggage. Cintya ensures she is always onsite when guests arrive & personally escorts us to our room.
We are welcomed by fresh flowers & a complimentary beverage & questioned as to what more they can do to make our stay better. From booking resturant reservations to suggestions on where to go, there is always someone ready to help.

There are only seven beautiful suites and it’s easy to make friends with the other guests as we gather around the pool area. Not to mention, it’s a short block to the LaRopa beach with some great restaurants & amazing sunsets.

We keep coming back & feel fortunate to have discovered such a special place.

My husband and I stayed at Villa Carolina for 5 nights with 2 other couples.
All six of us agreed the stay could not have been better. As we were there off season we were fortunate to have the whole Villa to ourselves.
The Villa suites are all arranged for privacy and are beautifully furnished and decorated with local art. Though we didn't use the kitchens there seemed to be everything you might need for an extended stay.
The staff kept us fed and hydrated and nothing was too much for us to ask.
Cyntia, the manager, is always available and has many years of local knowledge to share.
My husband and I have been going to ZIH for 37 years and Villa Carolina is our first choice for a relaxing stay.

Perfect accommodation with the amazing Cinthia as manager and host. Exceptionally clean, quiet, nice pool with lots of loungers, private and secure for guests, 3 minutes walk to the best walking beach we've ever seen, rooms have a good AC, bathrooms have two sinks and a walk-in shower with good water pressure, morning coffee and pastries provided each morning at the pool deck, the room service menu items aren't expensive and the quality of food is excellent, being only 7 suites provides the opportunity to visit and get to know the other guests. We're booked again for the Villa Carolina.

We stumbled upon the Hotel Villa Carolina 4 years ago while walking to La Ropa Beach and what a lucky accident it was. The hotel is everything you could want in a vacation property. When we arrived this year (its our third visit) we were met at the door by Cintya and her brother Ervin. Everything we brought with us was disinfected outside before being brought into the lobby and our room keys had been disinfected and sealed in plastic when they were handed to us. Due to low occupancy were were upgraded to a Master suite - the room was amazing. The living and dining areas are an open 2 story palapa containing a 2 person hammock, a private plunge pool and an open patio for sunning. The kitchen was small but well appointed should you choose to cook but why? We ordered room service breakfast and lunch each day and the food was impeccably prepared and quickly delivered poolside. Strict Covid protocol was observed by everyone there - all employees wore masks at all times and social distancing was strictly followed. The bedroom was huge with his and hers closets ( the first in all my travels). The bed was comfortable and the linens high end. The bathroom had ample amenities and the shower was large with plentiful hot water.. The grounds are compact with a large open pool courtyard. The hotel is secure with both the front and rear access doors being locked at all times. In short you can't go wrong by booking here and if you are reading this you obviously aren't there and you need to be. Go now you - won't regret it. We've already booked for next year!

We travel every year to beautiful Zihuantanejo and always stay on or around La Ropa Beach. Villa Carolina was a new stay for us and it turned out to be 7 fabulous nights in a garden suite, with our room directly off the pool area and a 2 minute walk to the beach. This worked out great for us and in the mornings as we enjoyed our coffee and pasties on our patio. Several days we ordered guacamole and margaritas, which we both decided were the best we had found on all of La Ropa Beach. Prior to our arrival, we asked Cintya for a blender for our room as we enjoy blended coffees in the morning and it was there on our arrival. Cintya also arranged for our Antigen testing which went very smooth and we had our results sitting on our patio table within 6 hours. Back to the room, it was spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. Air conditioning worked great !! We had a separate kitchen with a full size refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, blender, pots and pans, dishes, etc. They also provide each room with a 5 gallon jug of purified water and will replace it, if you run out. Can't say enough good things about Cintya and her staff. They were all exceptional. We felt very safe and secure during our stay we can't wait to return.

My boyfriend and I had the most magical, beautiful, truly unforgettable 4 nights in this very special villa. Trust me when I say, it could not have been a more perfect experience. Our second floor room was enormous, cheap (coming from the USA) and immaculately clean; the living room area is open air but still stayed relatively cool in the heat. Laying in the hammock was a highlight. We were brought coffee and pastries every morning at 8:30. The villa was a 2 min walk from the beach, so my bf and I went swimming in the bathtub-warm ocean every single morning, then did laps in the Villa pool before starting our day. The service was wonderful, both Cinthia and Marta were angels and the chillequiles from room service were excellent. For those who want to explore the city center without paying for a taxi, there is a little local bus (looks like a van) that stops literally right outside the villa and cost only 13 pesos! Seriously, Villa Carolina was a dream come true. We could not have been happier. Thank you Villa Carolina!

So unique. It’s more like a house with suites and they are fabulous. Such a spacious personal outdoor space for each of the lower suites feeling like the pool area is simply our back yard. Cyntia is a most gracious and attentive host helping us with reservations etc. And above and beyond with recognizing 2 guests birthdays during their stay. So safe, close to the beach and a variety of restaurants. Pretty special.

Villa Carolina is about a 5-minute walk from the beach, and that almost makes it feel more tranquil and secluded. The rooms are exceptionally well designed, and we loved having access to a kitchen, hammock, and pool. The AC in the bedroom was really welcome during the hottest time of the year. This inn was a highlight of our time in Zihua, and we would love to return.
