Our 3 generations settled into our two week stay immediately with a warm welcome from house staff. It is more than a house, it is a sanctuary within a few minutes walk from a gorgeous beach filled with happiness. We were there over Christmas and I think half of Mexico City (maybe an exaggeration) were there - only making it more fun. The garden and pool are elegant, clean, luxurious and exotic. The quality of workmanship in these buildings is inspiring. The host is onsite but not at all intrusive, in fact, it was a pleasure to meet her. Her staff are helpful, courteous and good at their jobs. Buses and taxis leave right from the door though are hardly noticed and the central market is ample and welcoming. We all loved it there.

Casa Luna Private Oasis in Zihua Expectations were high and Casa Luna did not disappoint! Upon our arrival we passed through the private gate into the lush, tropical gardens toward a beautiful, historic, palapa style hacienda. The Casa and gardens are impeccably maintained and thoughtfully designed. We were a group of 2 couples, including a yogi and chef. The open-air, foyer, was a perfect location for morning yoga. The well stocked and appointed kitchen (e.g. Le Cruset cookware, juicer, mixers, etc.) made cooking easy and enjoyable! The Casa provided loads of room to roam and find your own private space or gather with your friends at the back patio, large interior common area or pool. We all enjoyed spending quiet time rambling around the Casa enjoying the various interesting artifacts tucked in and around the various rooms. It is hard to believe this beautiful sanctuary is just blocks from the hustle and bustle of Playa Ropa. Patsy, the homeowner, was a fabulous hostess. She was available to answer questions about dining suggestions, day treks, etc. but was never intrusive - she lives in a smaller bungalow on the property .. her presence went totally unnoticed. Although we were a group of 4, this house would easily accommodate a larger group as there are 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths, plus a shower/bath by the pool. We look forward to our return to Casa Luna!

Beautiful Authentic Styled Mexican Home that made our trip! Decorated w/ great Mexican art & furniture. Fantastic main areas & kitchen! The largest bedroom is too big for a couple but if house sharing & you needed to add kids to your room it might make sense. The nicest room is the blue room next to the entry but the mattress is super hard (such a sweet room that I didn't care). The white room, a little plain (we added some of the owner's beautiful textiles to add ambiance); the mattress was super comfy. The 4th room is away from the house off the pool area. Authentic stucco Mexican styled room (again we added some of the owner's beautiful textiles to decorate) w/ a covered patio room and its own bathroom - only room that did not have AC. All rooms have fans & are screened which is important. The gardens are beautiful providing an amazing Zihautanejo setting. We had a 12 yr old, a 14 mn old, and 4 adults .. it was perfect. Amalia, the charmingly, warm housekeeper, will shop for you and keep you stocked with her home-made guacamole, salsa, & chips! Amalia stocked the kitchen for us prior to our arrival ... super to arrive to cold margaritas and appetizers! Great too, to have coffee & breakfast makings for the morning. The property is fully protected with a locking front gate. Easy stroll out the gate to La Ropa beach. Although you'll feel away from everything, close to a little store, restaurants and an easy & inexpensive taxi drive to town. Because we had kids, we had breakfast every day at the house and about a third of our dinners. It would have been super easy to stroll to one of the beach restaurants down the street for evening cocktails or dinner. We took advantage of these beach restaurants for our lunches. We didn't use the cottage which is separate from the house except it is on the shortest path to the pool .. nice to have it vacant during our stay. The main living areas of the house are open-aired .. there are bugs and little critters which didn't bother us. I think we lucked-out and found THE best rental house in Zihautanejo. Relaxed, beautiful, private, very Mexican, and perfect stay for our family.

Casa Luna is the most beautiful, enchanting, Special place... I think I've ever been. And I travel. And I've been visiting Casa Luna for the last 30 years. Patsy Cummings LoGiudice and her late husband Joe put together a most spectacular place over many years; its really an unusual place, like being al home and other-worldly. It has a magnificent garden growing all sorts of local flowers and huge ferms and other unnamable delights, complete with humming birds and butterflies and dragonflies..and tiny lizards, and life! There are many rooms to the circularly build main house, with others dotted around the property, and yet, still, privacy is what one has and enjoys, no matter which room is yours. Its a stone's throw from La Ropa beach, about 90 yds, and if you go in the early morning, its all yours... and always gorgeous whenever you get to the beach. Taxis come to the house if you call for one, within minutes, and there is a local put-put bus, if you have time, which will take you all the way through town... There is a beautiful private pool, and WiFi, and all that modern stuff... but, the best times there, are when you're communing with nature!! The proprietor Patsy, is the loveliest person, knowledgeable, calm, and accommodating in whatever you might need; her house-keeper, Amalia was sent from Heaven, ever-ready to help. It is a special time at Casa Luna, whether you are there for two days or ten, you will most likely make it your Second home, as I have. I highly recommend it. Quina F.
