We really enjoyed this hotel. We were supposed to stay at Viceroy , but they wanted to charge us $100 for our two kids. At Hotel Villa Mexicana we got an all inclusive drinks and breakfast package...both were great. If you are going to Playa la Ropa to enjoy the beach...this is a great spot. Rooms are clean!

We stayed during Christmas break, so the beach was very busy! The hotel, however was clean and well kept. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was delicious! The pools were clean and enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel, and will definitely be returning, hopefully next year!!

First and foremost - the staff here is amazing!!!! I struggle with Spanish, so each morning, I was given informal mini-Spanish lessons by the wonderful staff, who were more than patient and kind to me. I can't wait to see them all again. Next .. the location is perfect. My room was on the first floor, basically 50 steps to...

Nice location on La Ropa beach. Room clean with TV and air conditioning. Helpful staff and restaurant on the premises. Was a little noisy at night but that is to be expected being in a populated area. Would be happy to stay there again.

We stayed here 3 nights. We were in room 1405 - balcony overlooked two of the pools but could still see the beach. Room was clean and maids did a great job. Tried to leave a tip - they did not take it. No envelope. We had included breakfast which was good- coffee not great. Lots of chair saving. The...

The hotel is about a half block from La Ropa Beach which is the best beach in Zihuatanejo but busy, crowded and commercial. We did like that there was a slight barrier between the hotel's lounge chairs and the beach which made it a bit more private and we were not approached constantly by vendors. We had no trouble getting...

Our first visit here. Probably won't return. If you want a lounge chair you had better go down to the pool by 8 am and stake your claim. We saw "claimed" lounges that were unused for hours. Breakfast was okay but slow. Parking is extra although only 80 pesos. Playa la Ropa is a busy beach but walkable. A taxi...

This was our 5th stay at Villa Mexicana. We have taken our kids and grandkids and friends on our various trips. We love the location, right on a fantastic beach, near several restaurants and access to a beautiful pool as well. The staff is so pleasant and always seeks to please. They are currently updating the rooms. Have recently put...

This hotel is simply furnished and elegant... a great value. The restaurant has delicious food, breakfast is especially tasty, and the staff are very friendly and caring. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Zihua.
