As a none guest we asked if we could use the beach chairs and umbrellas if we consumed something. The waiter told us that that was just fine. We had two drinks, listed in the menu for a total of 60 pesos. When we left we were charged 300 pesos. I asked how come, and I was told, we had...

Best Sunset Bar coupled with the Best Beach on the Pacific Ocean and an old world Hotel close to a cute Mexican Town, make up for the overall minimal comfort of the Catalina. Nestled on a Cliff and spread out over acres connected by lots of Stairs, . above a beautiful beach is a shabby chic place to Luv. Hugh...

If you are in good condition and able to drag your luggage up and down steps to get to your room this is a hotel for you! Parking is very far, the hotel is on a hill and don't have elevators. On the bright side the rooms are very spacious, we have a big balcony with s hammock and the...

We stayed here in October 2015, it was a nice hotel. I believe we stayed in one of the bungalows, it had a huge balcony with a hammock and some lounge chairs. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but overall we enjoyed the room pretty spacious for my wife and I. There are a lot of stairs, no elevators, from...

Spent about ten days here in a suite on the top level. Classic resort stair stepped down the hillside. Stucco and tile interior, private deck with hammock, love seat and chairs. Restaurant, pool, lounge and beach bar onsite. Lush flowers and trees ... Breakfast included in daily rate. Only complaint was the walk down the steps to get to the...

Great spot on the best beach in Zihua. Perched on a cliff - the Hotel is older and a bit rough around the edges but comfy, clean and like living in a tree house overlooking the beach. The Bungalows and Linda Vista rooms are worth the extra money. Very nice and helpful people at the desk - we will definitely...

We stayed two weeks at Catalina in a Lindavista Suite. Quite possibly one of the top 3 rooms and hotels we have stayed at. The staff were friendly, helpful with suggestions and always responsive to any request we made without being over the top! Our day started looking out over the Bay, with a room wide patio open door and...

We loved our 10 day stay - perfect weather and great accommodations. We stayed in an older casita, which lacked some charm, but the huge deck with hammocks and gorgeous Playa la Ropa views made up for it.

Our experience at Catalina Beach Resort was a good one. The two main things to know are: 1) It is a wonderful hotel in a great location and 2) There are tons of stairs and no elevator. If like walking on the beach, the stairs are no big deal. The quaintness of the hotel and its friendly staff will win...
