Really good food and service, friendly staff, reasonable prices and a lovely setting with its own lagoon. There are a lot of low-key activities including aqua-aerobics and water volleyball. All-inclusive can be either by the day or by the week, or not at all. Daily maid service was excellent. Resort was lively, but not too crowded or noisy even though it was a holiday week. We plan to return.

Hotel's Favorite
Our first visit was unsurpassed! The staff was kind, attentive, and eager to give us the best experience ever! The food was top notch and the activities were fun and engaging. Ivan, the activities director was very friendly and tons of fun, and he even was kind enough to open the yoga room for the 4 dancers in our party of 7 to have a place to practice and create in. The room had the loveliest view of the ocean with an all glass wall!!!! And Gabriella, Jose, and Miguel stood out as excellent servers, and in the end we all felt so close it was like we were leaving family behind when it was time to go home. We also got amazing help from Inaki when we wanted to do fun things and didn’t know where to start. He made everything happen smoothly and affordable! We all cannot wait to go back! We felt right at home the moment we arrived but without all the chores! Thank you Costa Sur and staff!! You were all amazing!

We stayed here in November, where to start, the Staff - they were all welcoming and helpful, especially the Staff around the pool and bar area, although not sure why the pools needed heating when it was 28+ Degrees, the lagoon, all I can say is be careful getting in and out, the ground is very soft in places and your feet sink, I was caught by a forceful wave whilst getting out which caught me unawares and I had difficulty trying to stand up. The Rooms - we had an issue with our first room, it was one of the old rooms which was due to be modernised, but this was soon sorted and we were then given a new room, our maid was brilliant and could not praise her enough, the rooms was cleaned every day and there was always fresh towels. The only downside which we found was that the bar closed at 10.30pm, on some evenings it would have been nice to have one for the road, especially if you had been into town for a meal, We ate in on some days and found the food lovely, the only complaint we had, was when we ordered the Surf and Turf, which was very disappointing, the lobster meat was very small, our steaks were awful, my husbands steak was tough and gristly, mine was sent back as not cooked and was also tough, we did complain at the time. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely return.

First of and foremost, HUGE THANKS TO ESWIN, ARACELY, MIGUEL, DON ENRIQUE (BARTENDER), OSBALDO, ARMANDO, CLAUDIA, JUAN, ERNESTO (Chef), JUANITA, CARLOS, DON MOISES, and JOSE LUIS, and everyone else who made our stay feel such at home! it's because of them that this review is 4 out of 5 stars and my review has to do mostly with the description of the all-inclusive special. My wife and I stayed at this place for the week of 11/16 - 11/23. We booked through our timeshare platform (not at this resort) and paid for the All-inclusive package since we wanted to spend most of our time on the property. Once we arrived we were greeted by our "personal concierge" (I won't say the name) but that was basically the only time we heard from the concierge, you'd think the concierge would reach out and make sure your stay is going well and to offer any other help you might need. Nope, only the day we arrived we heard from this person. When checking in, we were told the "All-inclusive" package that we had purchased did not include any premium liquor, and some specialty dinning with lobster, prime rib, and octopus. Huge disappointment since that was not explicitly stated in the description prior (or after) to booking, it was until we got to check in that we found this out. To be fair we were able to order other cuts of meat but if we wanted octopus, lobster or a premium liquor it was at an EXTRA CHARGE. We tried not to get too disappointed at this and moved on thinking that we still had a wide access to the rest of the food they offered. Still lobster and octopus would've been amazing to have. So after checking in we proceeded to go to our room, an OCEAN FRONT STUDIO, and based on our review of the website pictures they advertised we thought this would be such a pretty room even at the basic level of rooms they had. When we got to our room it look old and used, it was dusty and the bathroom was not in any much better condition. Before they could bring our luggage to the room we requested to be switched to a different room, and while they did offer us the one they had available, a remodeled ocean front studio (which they might call advertise as a DELUXE OCEAN FRONT STUDIO) we had to pay an additional $300+ dollars for this upgrade. As a note, it was our decision to do the upgrade but the fact that the pictures on the website don't do justice to the actual room it was also not a good thing to find out until that day. Lastly, Costa Sur Resort advertises a ton of activities and beautiful actives to do such as Kayaking and Snorkeling, BEWARE!!! these were not included either in the All-inclusive package and required an ADDITIONAL COST. This was also disappointing since we were looking to do kayaking as part of our stay, we could have for an extra charge (and not very expensive) but we were under the impression it was already included. Again, misleading. Overall, if you can overlook the fact that the basic room is not as beautiful as the picture look, the fact that the all-inclusive does not include premium liqueurs, specialty dining, kayaking or snorkeling then this is a good option still. All the servers, waiters, waitresses, restaurant captains, and bartenders were amazing!! they made this review the 4 starts (point) review. The property itself is not new or fancy though so don't expect fanciness but still offers a nice range of services, food and liquor (excluding some stuff). They have a (very) small gym and a spa as well. All the people that helped us made our stay feel very nice!! The people is amazing!! the property is ok, the services are ok, the food is good, and the drinks are ok as well. This resort is so well worth it for its warm people and attention. I would recommend.

My wife and I own a house about 3 hours south of PV so travel and stay overnight for shopping trips several times a year . So we know the area and have stayed at dozens of other PV resorts and hotels , lots of which I would recomend. Room was nice paid extra for a large room renovated . Kitchenette with granite full fridge ect.see pic. TV had easy connect for my laptop !! Yes had my own HDMI cable see pic but the balcony did not really exist see pic three feet wide . Pictures on website must be top or bottom floor not the other 11 floors . Eat breakfast several days all good. But was going to eat dinner the first night and the stench !!! Sewer gas the entire main floor common area ,pool area , eating area , bar area , could not escape it. The staff tried to make light of it but had no solution . ( breeze very light at night) could not stay eat downtown . Second day same thing . They have a septic problem but no one working on it thinking it is not that bad ? No beach see picture waves hit the sea wall ? Not as pictured in the website ( this was the end of november maybe in February tide is different) Resort is old in ok condition .Staff were amazing as in most pv resorts meals ( breakfast only ) were ok . With sewer smell fixed a nice 3 star at best
