First time at Costa Sur Spa and Resort and experience with service was exceptional. They have a medium size pool, older and newer tower available. I guess we stayed at the older tower which needs renovations. Would definitely recommend they upgrade as you could hear all the noise from bedroom and bugs get inside room because you cannot fully close windows. Okimy is an awesome guy down at the pool area. Shout out to him! We needed anything he made it happen for us. Very nice guy who recommended us places to go to! He brings out all the games like bingo, guessing games, etc. Definitely ask for him at the pool/bar area !!!
We love Costa Sur. Every time we visit it’s been wonderful. The new bartender, Jefte, is very friendly and makes great drinks. The snorkeling right in front of the hotel is the best in the bay! The lagoon shelters the waves and attracts scores of different species of fish.
There were a few things that stopped me from giving a 5 star review but for the most part our stay was great! We stayed in room 715. Which had an amazing view of the ocean. All of the staff was very friendly and polite. Especially housekeeping. Our housekeeper Martha was absolutely on top of everything and anything that we needed from fixing up the room before our arrival to having it spotless every single day of our stay. Fresh towels are a must for me and she delivered. The pool area is very nice and family friendly. Although the beach did not have much sand to play in it was still nice to have that little bit of private safe ocean for my boys to swim in. I would definitely recommend staying here and if you do I suggest you request Martha as your housekeeper. 😊
We have only been here two days, but I could not wait to the end of the week to share how much we enjoy this resort. By way of introduction, we have been doing the "timeshare journey" for 36 years. We are expats and have been living in Mexico for 8 years. This a fourth visit to Puerto Vallarta...our favorite resort in Mexico. We are traveling from Cuernavaca, south of Mexico City. We are using an extra vacation week through Interval International. June is off-season and we are in the "rainy season" (June through September), so we get to enjoy the cloudscapes and watching afternoon rainstorms from our tenth floor view overlooking the bay. All rooms have ocean views, here. That feature really sealed the deal. For us, there is no need to go into town (five minute taxi or Uber ride). We visited downtown on our first visit to Puerto Vallarta and will do so, again on a future trip when we will be staying downtown. I recall reading previous reviews where folks said the "food is great." Well, it is far beyond great. "Exquisite" is closer to the mark. We did the "special dinner" last night, entertained by Allouette and her wonderful violin playing. I will be enjoying her performance, replaying it in my mind, for some time to come. I did not notice much discussion, in previous reviews, about the timeshare presentation. That, in itself, is an indicator that it is not an issue at this resort. We began our discussion with our timeshare salesperson (Leity) with the measures we took to avoid the presentations at the Vidanta resorts in Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta. She smiled and said said "Oh yes....you buy or you cry." Well Lety gave us exactly what we were looking for - the offer without any pressure. Thanks Lety. We bought some water shoes in the store off the lobby and are looking forward to a swim in the lagoon formed by a breakwater - just off the beach. We will be back here again. The Gottschalks…
We enjoyed our time at this resort it’s a bit older buildings but situated in a beautiful spot & all ocean view rooms with limited kitchens & frig. The dining service was great & waiters & bartenders by the pool were excellent & attentive. The activities person Okimy out by the pool was fun and very helpful with games & activities. We enjoyed our time here!
We just returned from a glorious vacation at Costa Sur. This resort will have you returning year after year being greeted by many friendly familiar faces. The location is amazing, every unit is oceanfront as well as the common area with a private lagoon and easy water access. Definitely a "south side gem" The resort has the feel of Mexico, it's small, intimate having few strangers just friends you haven't met. Hokimy is the activities director, Juan & Fabrizio & Jeffe are always ready with a cold drink, Moises creates dinner specials and Rafael and Renaldo serve you. There's also a wonderful spa.
We had an amazing wedding here . Thanks to Jessica ,capitan Moises , our waiters Raul , Rafael , our bartender fabricio. From start to finish it was like heaven . Thank you for an amazing experience. The dinner was amazing , roses were all over , just like my daughter wanted . The staff is always on point with everyone’s needs.
My family and I come here every year and we’re never disappointed. The service is always great and the pools, ocean, location, etc are amazing. One of the waiters, Raul, always makes my family and I feel at home and we enjoy seeing him every time we come down. He’s very fun and energetic and always makes us have a good time. Another waiter, Alejandro, is also always very helpful and friendly whenever he serves us. We love it at Costa Sur!
I really enjoyed my stay when coming here, the service is good and the beach is quiet. Okimy especially is a fun and friendly worker. The food was good, the room was clean and the workers were welcoming.
Very fun vacation with lots of activities thanks to Okimy. He helps with all of our needs and makes our vacation a breeze. We come here every year and it gets better and better each time we come. We love it at costa sur.
