Our stay in Mexico is always great because of the wonderful staff @ CLUB REGINA. Great amenities, great resort, great food and even better people. Rosa (front desk supervisor), Luiz (bell desk), Yeni (housekeeping) are all amazing. We highly recommend CLUB REGINA Puerto Vallarta! 5 stars!
I read several reviews of Club Regina before my visit in June 2022 and I feel it's necessary to set the record straight with a fair honest review. Let me start by saying I visit Puerto Vallarta regularly for work so I'm familiar with the area, the resorts, the food, the culture, and the prices. For this particular visit I traveled with my wife and we were in Puerto Vallarta for pleasure, not business. First off, I'm going to give this place a very solid 4.5 / 5 stars. I was very impressed with the resort overall, the grounds, the rooms, the bed, the pool, the beach access and beach loungers, as well as the service and dining options. Checkin was very smooth, quick and friendly. After checkin we were approached very briefly about a time share which we kindly declined and then were not bothered about it again for our entire 5 day trip. Honestly, if you're visiting PVR you should plan on being approached about time shares everywhere you go, Club Regina was the most respectful and least pushy (Vidanta is the worst, avoid those sales reps unless you want your time wasted). Our room was really clean and spacious with a very comfortable king size bed. Our view of the beach and the ocean were absolutely breathtaking from the 13th floor. Obviously this resort is not brand new so some things were a little dated, but for the price you pay per night I felt it exceeded expectations! The couches, chairs, kitchen, bathrooms, and beds were very clean. Room service came by each day to clean the room and they were very helpful with providing extra towels and toiletries. The staff working to keep the pool and the grounds clean did a great job. Also drink and food service pool side was quick and friendly. We provided our room number and they simply charged the card on file which made ordering very convenient. We ate at Inizio for dinner one night during our stay and the food was great! I ordered the salmon and my wife had fettuccini. The food came quickly and was served hot. The lighting and mood of this restaurant on the beach during sunset were everything you'd hope for when eating near the beach in Puerto Vallarta. All of that said, if you're looking for an affordable, nice, comfortable beach side stay in Puerto Vallarta this is your place!…
we have been coming to this Braintree resort for about 10 years and it just gets better and better...every amenity is offered and the care and concern for covid protocols the best...grounds and hotel beautifully kept and the new fitness center perfect...and, now, even new towels and umbrellas at the glistening pools...every kind of food offering, too !!! everyone works so hard to please and all seem to get along so well with each other...
I originally didn't want to go on this trip and only scheduled 5 of the 7 days I had available. What a mistake by day 3 I was trying to figure out how to stay and on day 5 I didn't want to go home. The resort was relaxing the staff was totally accommodating. Everyone was genuinely kind.
Great comfortable stay with an outstanding service in all areas. We felt safe and secure with a worry free peace of mind. The location is walking distance to the Marina which offers restaurants and shops.
It would be nice to stay in a hotel room and not worry about a bill that is adding up for every day that you were there. Resort fees and parking should be for Las Vegas only. And even then, I don’t agree with them. A lot of the resort fees are things I do not use like the pool, the gym, pool towels, or Wi-Fi. So why am I obligated to pay for them.
I am sitting on my lounge chair protected by my thatched roof cabana, which is granting me ocean waves, relaxing sun and Vitamin D that you could never get from a pill...and certainly not as fun. The sandy shoreline is beautiful and I can see a panoramic view of all of Puerto Vallarta, right to the northern tip. There are sail boats, people fishing, kayakers and future seven year old engineers building sand skyscrapers. I am happy and content. Let me show you around Club Regina.... Club Regina has a little magic going on as the minute you arrive, you get a sence of peacefulness, like you are “coming home”. It is wonderful to be welcomed by the Registration Staff, who are experts and prepared for your arrival. No long lines, no room disappointments, just kind, beautiful faces who understand that you have traveled far and need a rest. Ramses Santana is the Manager that makes everything flow smoother than hot chocolate on an ice cream sundae...and just as good. But as we all know, to be great you have to be flanked by a great crew. Your registration ambassadors include the front desk Supervisor Rosa, Xochitl, Caesar, Carolina, Jaime, Carlos, Monserrat and Melissa. They are all very professional and can solve most everything. By the time you are checked in, the Bell Captains have already secured your luggage and it is ready to roll. Check in time is around 4:00, but if the room is available, you can get there early. The Bell Captains help you with way more than your luggage. They help with taxi service, suggestions and directions, carry in shopping and getting you settled in your room. The “Captain” of the Bell Captains is Daniel, and manages an efficient team including Eduardo, Rodrigo, Luis, Job, Jesus and Omar. We are very grateful for their help and great kindness. Every visitor from the oldest to the youngest are recognized and expertly taken care of. If, by chance you need some “happy landing liquid libation therapy”, Magic Breeze cocktail and barista service is just off the lobby. Magically there is always a warm relaxing breeze that feels like a hug as it relaxes you. Hhhmmmm, I am thinking “Magic Breeze” is a really good name! Your lovely hosts are Alondra and Carmine. If there is anything you don’t know, or any where you want to go, your Concierges are a wealth of information. Managers Kathy and Omar have a great staff with Gloria, Rina and Jorge. They can make restaurant reservations, recommendations, provide discounts, get you connected with an advisor who will let you know what is new and happening with Raintree Vacation Club. This year we met with our amigo Arturo to give us an update on changes and opportunities available to us. He has guided us many times before on the best way to manage our Raintree membership. We are very happy with all that he has done for us. Our club suite is ready and our Bell Captain is helping us settle in. There is always refreshments waiting...a welcome treat. Our room overlooks the complete skyline of Puerto Vallarta. We have a lovely deck to watch the waves roll by and sun as it sets. Tonight is supposed to be a lunar eclipse. We will have the perfect view. The Club Suite is spacious with a kitchen, living and dining room. There is lots of closet space in the master bedroom, a comfortable King bed and our beautiful deck which is overlooking the entire complex. Maid service visits daily and I am so thankful for all they do. Mari and Yeni have helped us this year. Why can’t I get this at home??! There two beautiful pools are managed by Giovanni. He takes care to set up the pool areas and manages the towel cabana, not always an easy task when the resort is full, but he handles everything. Giovanni is also an artist. I love to see what new projects he has done. Amazing. Brian is the Pool Concierge. If you need something or have questions, Brian is your “go to guy”. Brian is one of those rare people who has a calling to help everyone around him. It could be an encouraging word, a gentle greeting or getting you what you need. He has become a true “amigo” to us:) At every pool you have to have someone who knows how to make fun and entertain. That is why Rosa is the Pool Activities Manager. Rosa has great people and communication skills. She plans and directs the Tuesday entertainment, pool and beach activities. She has some great assistance from Hope and Job. Between the three of them everyone is happy. It is a perfect get away for both couples and families. You can work up a healthy appetite soaking up the sun, and lucky for you, there is a wonderful poolside restaurant and bar. The menu covers your favorite foods from traditional Mexican, fresh catch, sandwiches and my favorite, brick oven pizza. YUMMY! Dan is the Manager and gets great assistance from Arturo, Hector, Iris, Alberto, Gerardo, William, Victor, Jorge, Eduardo, Daniel, Jacqueline and Moreno. This amazing wait staff takes care of poolside, oceanside and restaurant service. They are kind, professional and never miss a beat. Thank you:) Many of the staff such as Arturo, Hector, Gerardo and Iris work at Inizio for breakfast/brunch and dining in the evening. In addition when Club Regina is hosting a special event, the whole staff dons formal service attire to work the event. They are unbelievably professional in their service, not to mention very good looking. Club Regina is a favorite venue for special events. Julia is the Event Planner. She will help coordinate every detail for your wedding, anniversary, family or business gathering. For those wondering about safetly in another country, rest easy. It is quite safe in Puerto Vallarta, especially around Club Regina where we have Eduardo heading up Security. Eduardo, Alejandro and Josue help make sure the grounds are watched over and secure. Night time belongs to Inizio Restaurant. We love to sit at a table outside to watch the beautiful sunsets. Lalo, Jorge and Gerardo guide you through a beautiful dining experience. Their knowledge of wine choices, specialty beverages and menu options is unending. They remember your favorites and tell you when there is a special entre you shouldn’t miss. We really appreciate their advise as we try things new to us. The menu is international, has great variety and is fresh. If you want something special because you are hosting family or guests, Lalo and Jorge can make it happen. It is our favorite restaurant to bring guests. The chefs are Lino, Oscar and Eric and are amazing. They change up the menu so there is always a surprise to look forward to and each entre is better than the next. They are artists at the entres they create. Inizio is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Puerto Vallarta. Of course, I save the best for last. The General Manager is Alberto Berriel Cantellano who’s forte’ is to see that all things happen smoothly and for the satisfaction of the guests. This is no little responsibility. He meets and greets everyone on a personal level. His many staff professionals are efficient and happy. As go the staff, so go the guests. Everyone smiles here. Alberto, no one can manage Club Regina like you do. You are a true leader as you help those around you become better than their best. We are honored to be here. I end my tour through Club Regina and would heartily recommend Club Regina as one of Puerto Vallarta’s premier vacation destinations. No matter where you live, it is a short flight to happiness…
The property is dated and needs a refresh, but the location, staff members, beach, pools, activities, ( if you choose), access to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, etc. we’re all great. Aside from needing to upgrade it was a great hotel. Rooms clean, staff helpful and kind. Food wasn’t the greatest, but it’s good, there are plenty of fabulous restaurants within walking distance and it is easy to get to other areas in PV. Taxis are reasonable and the bus isn’t too far.
Only wished there were more than (1) actual Restaurant to choose from and thrilled the Marina was close by for other eating/dining options. Stayed at the Resort for (2 weeks-April & May) and did not have to be moved!
It was our first trip to Puerto Vallarta in May. Wow! Warm, but not hot. No humidity. Low crowds. It was a perfect week thanks to the staff and attitudes at Club Regina. We have stayed there before, and will again.
