Upon booking the hotel, I received an email right away from the front desk (Carolina) asking if I wanted to setup transportation services from the airport to the hotel. I thought that was a very nice personalized touch. Carolina went above and beyond to make sure that the 2 room choices I wanted for my birthday were reserved and answered any questions that I had about the area. Grant worked alongside Carolina and his professionalism was phenomenal. From giving us a tour of the property, to a little background history of the home and the décor. They easy made us feel like family. The housekeepers/Bar staff and general workers were all so great. From answering any questions we had, to the cleanliness of the rooms, to the breakfast they cooked in the morning, everyone were so accommodating and went above and beyond. Because of Grant and Carolina, I will come to the hotel again and again and I have already recommended to my family and friends. So much charm, so quaint, such a feel of luxury. ( I secretly wish I could celebrate many more special occasions in life here). Thank you again, Carolina and Grant, you both made our week in Puerto Vallarta so much more special. When I arrived the staff all had masks and gave me sanitizer and were very thoughtful of my traveling fears. It was very hot but the room had great ACWe would like to express our gratitude for your preference. We are delighted to hear that you have enjoyed your stay. - ChanelB03161 contributionTHE BEST HOTEL !This hotel is something my husband and I just happened to find while in the PVR area and what a find it was, we were within walking distance to everything , the early morning mountain views are spectacular ! we were walking distance to downtown with night clubs restaurants art galleries everything this hotel has to be one of my favorite hotels in the world ( I've been all over Europe and Asia) the staff was wonderful and so accommodating. the pool was sparkling and clean and the hot tub (which has an even better view of mountains) was so relaxing we spent most of our time there. all in all this hotel was spectacular and I cannot wait to come back and stay longer.Dear Chanel, It was so great to welcome you and your husband to Rivera. We really enjoyed having you. We are also so happy that you chose to spend your anniversary with us. We hope all is well with you and would love to see you again in the future. I've never encountered such a draconian anti-refund policy. We cancelled as soon as we could, but because we didn't read the fine print, we were refused any kind of refund whatsoever. Rude and absurd. They didn't even fully refund the airport pickup. Ridiculous. Find someone more flexible who cares abut travelers.

Everyone was attentive and caring about having us as guests. Pool was amazing and relaxing, spent plenty of time there to cool off and also for the nice views both at day and night. Bar service by the pool had really good drinks. Hotel is located in a key zone so exploring the Romantic Area was easy. The room was nice and services were relliable. Travelling back and forth from the airport was easy and with different options.

Rivera del Rio exceeded our expectations. We had a great time during our stay. The staff is so polite, respectful and accommodating. The pool was amazing and such a necessity, especially in those hot summer days. The whole premise is always clean and well organized. The bartenders were above and beyond with their delicious drinks!

Great location, roof top pool was beautiful and relaxing. Staff was friendly and helpful. Love the eclectic look and feel of hotel. Close to market and great restaurants. 5min walk to wonderful garden space. Would stay here again.

Got super late at night (extra charge) a Guy greeted us very kind and every day we saw him was always ready to say Hi, how are you doing?, ect…..(He work overnight) not all Front desk are friendly or smiley…..Amazing River-Forest Boutique Hotel, is almost New the rooms are unico & Different , ours was “Gabriella” big room with balcony and a fresh view. Bed was comfortable and soft. They’ve a limited Breakfast Not cheap, but ok. The Top Roof POOL was the best part of all, ( 24 hrs. ) available. You can see the sunset from it, we stayed 4 night. Not easy parking lot, most of all is by walk to downtown town , beach. Zona romantic and more.

Staff was great but the room had no ice trays, no extra blankets or sheets, the main bathtub didn’t drain, and the room had a musty odor. Do not stay hear if you have a mold/mildew allergy. Looked much better on Yelp than in real life.

Carolina, Rogerio and the gentleman at the rooftop pool bar were wonderful. The Silver Room was great! The AC excellent on humid days. We loved both pools, small but full of 1930s mood. It is definitely a unique place!

My husband and I stayed in the Scarlett room for 3 nights. We would choose another room next time, but we loved our stay. Great location, friendly staff, and very clean. Antonio the bartender was very friendly and made great margaritas!
