This is a great value in a perfect location in the Romantic Zone about 1/2 way between the popular "gay" beach area and the nightlife and surrounded by wonderful culinary choices. It's not fancy, but comfortable and a great value. The friendly housekeeping staff are uninstructive but there when you need them. Easy access but would not recommend for someone requiring handicap access as the building is 4 floors with stairs, great exercise opportunity. These are apartments with mini kitchen, sofa, table and chairs. The wifi worked well on this trip.
Don’t stay in this area or at this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing vacation. The Anonimo bar across the street was blasting music until 2AM every night even with very few clients. I called the suites and asked for another room but no one called me back. I had a 10 night stay and left 3 nights early (non-refundable) so I could get some rest at home. The bar didn’t seem to care about the suites across the street and told to me to call the police. The kitchenettes were sparsely equipped and really unnecessary as there is so much good food in the area. The housekeeper was wonderful but I will never stay here again. If you are into party music every night until 2AM and sleeping across from a bar, this might be your place.
My husband and I changed our lodgings for this trip 3 times before finally deciding on the Olas Altas Suites. I must say, I’m, in no way disappointed! In fact, very pleasantly surprised! First off, I called the “Hotel” as soon as we left customs so they’d be ready for us as there is no desk or lobby. When our Town Car pulled up, a server, from the restaurant down stairs, opened the car door for us, welcomed us by name, helped us unload our bags onto the sidewalk, then politely asked us to wait a moment while he got the restaurant chef/manager (another very polite and helpful gentleman). The manager showed us the entry key for the main door and let us in to the foyer, where we were promptly greeted by Rosa, the Housekeeper. She then took us to our room and gave us our keys. She gave us a tour of the “Room”, explained how to use the amenities and safe box, wished us a happy, fun, and enjoyable stay, and left us with her number and hours she’d be here in case we needed anything. Now, above I put the word room in quotations because it’s really not a good description of what we walked into. I’ve seen the pictures of the room on the website, TripAdvisor, and Travelocity. And don’t we all experience that disappointment when we realize our room was nothing like the pictures we saw? Well we weren’t this time! Our APARTMENT is the exact same one on the website! Everything is exactly as pictured! And it’s Amazing!!! One Bedroom, separate Living room, dinette for 2, fully functional kitchen with sink, stove, oven, cabinets stocked with dishes and cookware, microwave, Coffee Pot, and Even a Blender to make margaritas in and enjoy on the shared balcony overlooking the heart of the Zona Romantica! I just can’t say enough about this amazing apartment! There’s a little convenience store right across the street, our balcony looks down on a Gay Bar that has loud Dance Music playing into the wee hours, but could not be heard from our bedroom which is at the back of the apartment. There is literally all kinds of shops, restaurants, and nightlife right outside our door! And it’s a block and a half from the beach and the landmark Los Muertos Pier! The Olas Altas also owns the amazing restaurant downstairs and a Beach Club a couple blocks away that has a pool, food, cocktails, and private beach, which guests may use at a 50% discount. We haven’t tried it yet, but we still have 10 more days, so we might give it a try.…
I stayed here with my dog and 2 friends. We stayed here to lower the budget a little and attend a nearby wedding. The location was very convenient, we could easily walk everywhere we needed to go. The facilities are very nice, we especially enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and just relaxing. The little kitchen area was convenient for me to store left-overs and to prepare my dogs food each night. Overall, a great option for the area.
This place has a perfect location in the middle of everything, just a few minutes from the beach. We paid a good price during high season and PV can be quite expensive when it comes to hotels. There was a fully equipped kitchen, with a table and a sofa. Bedroom was big and with a very comfortable bed. We slept like babies! Cleaning is not made everyday, but we dont mind. Definitely can recommend Olas Altas Suites for a vacation in PV
