I stayed here with my dog and 2 friends. We stayed here to lower the budget a little and attend a nearby wedding. The location was very convenient, we could easily walk everywhere we needed to go. The facilities are very nice, we especially enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and just relaxing. The little kitchen area was convenient for me to store left-overs and to prepare my dogs food each night. Overall, a great option for the area.

This place has a perfect location in the middle of everything, just a few minutes from the beach. We paid a good price during high season and PV can be quite expensive when it comes to hotels. There was a fully equipped kitchen, with a table and a sofa. Bedroom was big and with a very comfortable bed. We slept like babies! Cleaning is not made everyday, but we dont mind. Definitely can recommend Olas Altas Suites for a vacation in PV

My husband and I stayed at Olas Altas for 8 days for our honeymoon. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the romantic zone. There are dozens of shops, restaurants and spas in walking distance, including the Palm, an event venue steps away! The room was basic but nice. We were in unit 6. The A/C in our unit was new and worked incredibly well. The room came with a small fridge, oven, stove, and cooking basics (a couple plates and bowls, silverware, pot and pan, etc.) This allowed us to make breakfast at the hotel a few mornings, which was awesome. The bathroom appeared to be recently updated. Also love that both the bathroom AND the bedroom had ceiling fans. The shower door did not stay closed on its own, but we just used a washcloth to hold it closed. Aside from the kitchen table which had not been wiped down and a couple dust bunnies on the ceiling, it was clean. The maid works M-F and comes a max of 3x weekly, which was plenty for us. She even did our dishes AND laundry! It made it feel like a second home. If you stay here, please don’t forget to tip her. Olas Altas has a deal with the Sapphire beach club, where for a small fee you can sit in beach chairs under umbrellas and get free towels. There’s table service where they bring you water and juice for free, and a menu you can order cocktails or food from. Also, make sure you check out the hotel restaurant connected to Olas Altas - the food is exceptional. Things to know: The driver from the airport was a little confused about where we were going. We clarified that we were going to the Olas Altas SUITES. It turns out that Olas Altas is also the name of a road (I think that’s where the confusion happened). They give you 2 washcloths, 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels at a time. There gave us 4 pillows but 2 were decorative. They were happy to give me another pillow when I asked for one. The mattress is very firm, which we actually prefer, but I bring it up because some may not. Also, our room did not have a hair dryer. They may have been able to give me one of those too if I’d asked, but I figured whatever, it’s a beach vacation and my hair could use a break from the damage :) To my knowledge the hotel doesn’t have a lobby, which is kind of weird. Maybe it used to be an apartment building and that’s why? The phone number to the ‘front desk’ which is posted on the wall in the stairwell didn’t work for my husband or me (but we could make outgoing calls to other people, so still not sure what happened there). If you need to track down a staff member, the easiest way is to ask someone in the restaurant or if you see them in the hallway. These are not luxury accommodations, but if you like us are looking for a clean place to stay on a budget with friendly staff, Olas Atlas is perfect. We would absolutely stay here again!

I stayed at Olas Altas Suites over the New Years Eve weekend and enjoyed it for the most part. The check in routine is a little strange but worked nonetheless, and found everyone I encountered to be friendly and professional, but also had the unique feeling of being run by a small group of people or family, which was nice. When checking in, I had to go to the restaurant as others have stated, and was very quickly greeted by an employee of the restaurant who was very nice and incredibly quick to show me the room, give me keys, and give me information on how to get in touch with them if needed. The hotel itself isn't fancy by any means, but it does have the vibe of being a real part of Vallarta, nor is it run down either; it is average in a good way. If you are not expecting the ritz, you will find it to be completely adequate. And the location is excellent and in is a great starting point to walk around to different areas of the main tourist areas in Vallarta. The room was slightly worn, but nothing too extreme, and all the appliances and facilities, like the shower and toilet, worked just fine. The living room was a nice place to relax and watch TV or talk to friends, while neither being large or too small, for a hotel room. The kitchen had everything I needed to either make or reheat food, but being a solo traveler I didn't need forks and knives for 6 people, which would have been a problem (it wasn't). The bedroom was large and had enough closet space to put a weeks worth of clothes in with no issue. The quality of the decor isn't top notch, but I also wasn't expecting it to be, and again, everything like the dressers and closets were adequate for my needs during this trip. The Internet worked fine for me and I had no issues with connectivity the entire time of my stay. The housekeeping lady, as others have mentioned, is a super nice person and was incredibly friendly and accommodating when she was there, which I believe is about 3 times per week. Her cleaning was excellent and I have no complaints. And just a reminder to consider giving her a tip as she does work hard, and the work she does is noticeably good. The bed for me was not bad, but it wasn't great. But I was able to sleep there for a week without issue and had a decent sleep each night. My only complaint was that the curtains definitely aren't blackout quality, and if you go to sleep late and get up late, hopefully you aren't bothered by the light that seeps into the bedroom in the morning. I didn't find the area too loud, and considering the location that is an impressive feat. You may be more prone to hearing things than I am however, but I didn't have a problem in this regard at all. If you don't expect a 4 or 5 star hotel, and can get a reservation at a decent price, then you will most likely be happy with this place. I can't say I would stay there again considering all the options in Vallarta, but at the same time I am happy I had a chance to stay here and enjoy the location, especially for New Years Eve, which was a lot of fun. It's an average hotel with a unique feel to it.

This room was clean. But very dated. The AC was very old. Luckily the few days I was there the temps were in the Low 70s at night so it allowed me to sleep cool. I would be ware if you visit during the summer time. It’s in a prime location walking distance to basically everything you need to see and do. It’s across the street from a gay bar so you’ll hear music and people talking till very late.
