Hacienda San Angel is an amazing place, filled with beautiful art, antiques, and various treasures. It was such a treat to explore and discover all the nooks and crannies. The staff treated my partner and I like old friends, quickly learned our tastes, and took...More
Stayed here for 3 nights in late May. There are so few rooms here that the entire time you feel as though you are in your own luxury oasis - if your best friend was an art collector who just let you the keys to...More
Don't be fooled by the exterior. We almost missed it. The restaurant/hotel is in a residential neighborhood behind closed gates. But once you enter it's like a whole new world inside. Very romantic. We went for dinner, had very nice service. Food was incredible and...More
I can't say enough good things about dining at Hacienda San Angel. Everything about the experience is exceptional. The Hacienda with its beautiful open air dining areas offering views of the Bay; the food that is perfectly prepared and the waiters who time the courses...More

Yes, brunch is seasonal. But, normally they will accommodate those staying at the hotel by serving meals where they want them. So, I would request, say breakfast, to be served there instead of your room. Of course, you will be lacking the aviance of the setting for the brunch, or the champagne you are sipping as the violinist enchants you, but the view is enough. Same, if you want lunch outside or in one of the dining areas off the courtyard. One of the most magical things about Hacienda is how much the staff cares about their visitors and do so much to please them.

Depending on how many days you are staying at San Angel, I would just rent the car for your trip north to Sayulita. You are in the center of town. If your are just exploring, hire a driver and a van. Everything is negotiable. For 30+ years we use a cab. In our youth we wold rent a car, then it was VW Things.
