We liked our stay at the Flamingo Vallarta Hotel & Marina. We love the marina area. The resturants are fun in this area. The pool was nice with comfy recliners. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable.. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel in marina area

Very nice hotel for the money. Clean rooms and they have a pool. No beach, since this hotel is right on the marina. Great place if you dont like all the hustle and bustle. Nice shops and restaurants near by, or take the bus or a taxi to get you closer to the action

Older Mexican atmosphere with good location

Easy check in, we stayed and had the all inclusive. One restaurant and one bar but its a smaller hotel so was no problem in eating or drinking. Room was in good conditon and small porch/balcony was nice touch. Grounds are really well manicured and lobby was open air. Right…

not a good vacation

Everyone should be aware of Flamingo DOES NOT HAVE BEACH access. You should get a cab to go to the beach. We had to buy daily passes at nearby resorts to go to beach. Retirement life may be good (cus is cheap) just sitting and watching from balcony. Bathrooms are in bad shape.…

In doing research for our upcoming trip to PV, one of the resorts that kept popping up was the Flamingo Vallarta. It looks very charming to me, but my hubby was worried that the pool would be too small and crowded. As we will be down in that area anyways, I wanted to take a walk over to see the property in person and will try to arrange a tour with the resort if possible, but that may not happen. When looking at some of the pictures on Trip Advisor, it looks like there is access for a person not staying there to walk by on the outside near where the boats are moored and still be able to see the size of the pool area. Can anyone confirm whether that is the case or not, i.e. is that access area only for people who own boats or are staying in the area. Thanks so much.

You definitely can walk by and look in. The pool was not real big but because the water was not real warm, the pool itself did not get too crowded. I would ask for a tour if you are in the area.

From the hotel it is a 5-10 min walk to the main street and the bus stop , and another 5 min or so bus ride. Or as an alternative when you get to the main street turn left go past Plaza Nettuno another 5 min walk and you are in a mall with a supermarket. But a mall is a mall is a mall. For my money I'd much rather go, take the bus to the Malecon , keep walking and you are in zona Romantica. Both of these places are very enjoyable , good restaurants and safe. It gets busy when cruise ships are in town but still .

Hi , we were wondering about the non - smoking policy ... can we smoke on the balcony with the door closed ?? , can we smoke anywhere on the property ??

Yes there is a smoking area by one side of the pool. There are signs that there is no smoking in the room or on the balconies.

Is there elevators to the higher floors.??? IF booking with Sunwing Airlines, you don't have a choice of Marina Views, how can you book a marina view room through Sunwing????Is the pool not heated????.
