We discovered this beatiful place today while hiking from Boca. Food was good and service was great, untill we received the bill. There was thing on bill we have not seen yet in Mexico, propina. This is our first time in Mexico, we asked the server Eddy and he said that propina is money for the back of the house,...

Visited Casitas Maraika last February 2016 on our hike from Boca and absolutely loved it. Does anyone know how to get in contact with them to make a reservation? I have sent several emails, but have had no response! We would like to make a reservation for 2017 and can only come on a specific day. Any suggestions would be...

We spent the day at this amazing beach club and were totally blown away. It's a small private beach, reachable by a 5minute boat ride. So worth it! We were having some beers when one of the owners arrived with an amazingly fresh tuna fish. It had just been fished a couple of minutes before. Best tuna I've ever had....

We drove to Boca de Tomatlan and took a "panga" to Casitas Maraika... Nice service, great beach for snorkeling and paddle boarding... My family enjoyed themselves here, and they really liked the food and specially the Nutella crepes. Great beach to relax with the kids!

You can spend the day here at this private beach you access only by boat or stay and sleep in. Amazing food, we had the marlin burritos, toritos, maraika salad, ceviche and couldn't stop eating. Definitely want to go back. They have outstanding selection of mezcal and raicilla!!!

Casitas Maraika could be a wonderful place. For us it wasn't because they took advantage of us. We went there for our honeymoon (i'm Mexican and my husband's Belgian) The first thing we did when we arrived was eat and it was SO delicious! We asked for the bill and our waiter said that we needn't worry about money then,...

An ideal day for me is to hike from Boca de Tomatlan towards Las Animas and further. On one particular hike we stopped at Maraika because we were hungry, and, we loved the atmosphere. Maraca sits on the edge of the bay with a beautiful view of the water. As we watched the boats fly by while sipping on Margaritas...

After the hike along the coast from Boca de Tomatlan you arrive at this lovely setting jutting out into the bay over looking Puerto Vallarta. My wife and I stopped after the 1 1/2 hour hike to enjoy a mango margarita and a Maraika Salad with lettuce, goat cheese, walnuts and mango. I can only say both were spectacular. The...

“We stayed in the only casita that is not a palapa -meaning no thatched roof. It was casita luciernaga and it was wonderfully romantic. We toured several of the others and they were all beautiful with open balconies and open rooms. There are no windows or screens but all the beds have netting and we had no trouble with bugs although we did bring bug spray.”

“The casitas rent for different amounts. You'll be placed in the one most appropriate for the size of your party. Each of them are unique. They each have at least one full restroom and a half restroom as well.”
