We were lucky enough to stay in the Beach House, a large two story private villa with its own kitchen, infinity pool, laundry, office, living room, and sleeping areas - I could live here for a very long time.. From the tasteful artwork to the comfy bed, filtered water, local soaps, and super clean rooms - we had a delightful stay.
The service from the team at Villa Verano is amazing, Jose and his team Arturo, Manny, Freddy, Meno, Tony, did an amazing job of keeping up with our large group poolside during the days (complete with pool volleyball if you wish) and during our plated dinners in the evening. At the beach Lalo and his team made sure we were well cared for with food and drink beach side complete with loungers, umbrellas and tables. I especially liked having someone dedicated to watching our things on the beach so we could relax while playing in the ocean. While just a 5 minute walk away is the busier portion of the beach, at Villa Verano you are tucked into a nice secluded area with a mix of trees for shade and plenty of sun. The usual set of beach vendors is readily available.
During the days while relaxing, the lovely housecleaning staff of Hilda, Maribel, Maria, and Magaly kept our rooms and common areas nice and tidy, in fact the crew is always at work keeping these jungle Villas enchanting. With such wonderful plants including forests of bamboo, massive trees, and tropical greenery or all shapes and sizes- everything seems to be trimmed to perfection. As a vertical property, it offers fantastic views from all rooms yet you are not in a high rise….you can take the paths and get your steps in as you walk to the beach or take the elevator tucked inside this amazing jungle property.
The food from chefs Franko, Wilber, and Nestor was delicious with a nice selection of kid friendly treats and wonderful plated dishes for adults. We especially liked the soups and fresh salsas and extra effort made to accommodate the vegetarians in our group.
Lastly, because the location is just outside old town and a bit secluded, Jose and Leonor were easily able to arrange our transportation needs with taxis/ busses as well as arrange for massage therapists in our Villa.
I can’t say enough good things about Villa Verano, we’ll be back!

We recently stayed at the Villa Verano with 7 other families….15 kids (18mo - 10 yrs) and 40 people total. This place felt like home immediately. Despite having so many people the rooms/villas are arranged in away that you can easily escape other people and feel secluded. The main pool and bar were the site of many margaritas-fueled pool volleyball games, the individual Villa pools all had amazing views and were totally private, and lastly ocean was great place to teach some of the older kids how to boogie board. In terms of staff they were incredible. Manny, Freddy, and Arturo were fun, charasmatic and fantastic with the kids. They always were ready to serve your needs. Jose was the head of house and he was so helpful…you need transportation or a reservation somewhere or have ANY other request, he is your guy. He even personally went to go pick up my wife’s cell phone that had been left behind just to make sure we knew it would get back safely. Lastly, and this might only ring true with some of you, but the laundry service is INCLUDED. That means you come with fresh, folded laundry! Most nice places we have stayed charge a lot more for laundry services. We are a family of 4 and it took 15 minutes to unpack our bags versus 3-4 hours of laundry otherwise. All in all this place was amazing and I highly recommend checking it out.

Breath taking. From start to finish. Our first night at our villa we had the amazing chef Wilbur prepare us dinner and hung out in our private pool while a pod of whales frolicked right in front of the hotel which we thought could never be topped off but shortly after the sun set, fireworks shot off in front of our villa, I MEAN!!! what a welcome... The staff, Lalo, Leonor and Magally could not have been more

To put it mildly, the staff at VV is world class. John, Oscar, Jose, and Freddy were constantly at service, but never intrusive! They exceeded our expectations on every level. We were especially impressed by the level of cleanliness and safety measures in dealing with Covid 19. The likes of Four Season and others could take a lesson. The location is perfect, and the privacy, coupled with close access to the beach, other restaurants, and shopping make this a hidden treasure. A mere request from Jose, and your wish is done, perfectly. Thank you for making our stay perfect!!

We recently flew from Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarta for a Covid-19 make up trip that was canceled in 2020. While July isn't the ideal time to visit this beautiful city, we made the most of it spending time in the historic district. Great food, nice culture and fun clubs and bars. What made the trip extra special was our unique and boutique accommodations at Villa Verano, located on the beach just south of the larger resorts.Â
The property is special, limited keys with mostly suite accommodations. We had a beautiful 3 bedroom villa with a private pool. The hotel provides exceptional service, from our guest Manager Lalo, who stocked up out kitchen and bar, and arranged dinners and activities for the week. We also had a number of in-house meals prepared by Chef Wilver. Everyone at the hotel was amazing and shout outs to Meno, Leonor, Magally, Maria who provided us amazing service.Â
It seems as though you cannot write a travel review without noting COVID restrictions and requirements. Mexico, in particularly the Airport and PV were pretty disciplined in masking and social distancing requirements. The hotel coordinated the required COVID test needed to return home in a relatively pain free manner.Â
Overall, great week, wonderful experience with Villa Verano and the team. We'll be back in January for more fun and better weather.

This is my second stay at Villa Verano and I hope I get a chance at a third. We have come down twice in August for a business meeting with the following weekend a mini vacation and this villa is extraordinary.
Firstly, the staff. Jose the house manager is wonderful. He's all over the details, he and I coordinated multiple times a day to keep the plan on track for a group of 30+ people. Leonor the concierge was fantastic to communicate with, we talked multiple times the month before we arrived and exchanged countless emails getting all the transportation, meals, and other activities set up. Arturo the original booker was also easy to work with on the front end. The day to day staff is on top of everything. I wish I remembered all of the names, Freddy and Juan were there daily and was always ready to get you what you needed. The chef cooks great food, we had breakfast and lunch daily with a big dinner Friday. There are multiple housemen and maids, the laundry service daily was so nice.
The compound is well-maintained, 5 total buildings, private security fencing with security at nights with private beach access, one of the only villas this size with that access. Basically anything you want they will help you schedule or get and they do it with a smile on their face. The staff worked incredibly hard and made the stay beyond enjoyable, to the point where we didn't want to leave. John the manager kept tabs from a distance and communicated well with me with the few questions I had. Overall the communication leading up to our stay and during our stay was excellent.
If you're looking for an experience, family and friends, or a business meeting like us, you can't find a better place than Villa Verano. Once you experience it you won't want to be in a hotel again!
Not to mention a short walk to the romantic zone where there is so much to do and food to eat.

We had a three-bedroom triplex villa with private plunge pool all overlooking (and on) the beach) in a quiet area yet within easy walking distance of the heard of the Zona Romantica. I didn't see any other hotels which had retained the level of lush vegetation that Villa Verano has retained; as soon as you stepped into the complex you felt you were in a tropical forest. Each of the four villas is situated so they have privacy and great ocean views. The private plunge pool is heated, the linens are good and the beds are comfortable.
The staff is courteous and professional, especially our house manager Lalo (who was always making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive) , Wilbur the chef and Leonor the concierge who arranged cars, dinners, and excursions sometimes on very last minute. Even the maid, Magally, made our stay (which included a messy toddler) pleasant by keeping the villa clean without being noticed. Finally, John the hotel manager shared his knowledge of the town and did many things to make our stay feel very comfortable.
The hotel arranged for complimentary in-room Covid tests prior to our return to the US which was a huge convenience. This is good value for money and I can't imagine staying elsewhere when I return to PV.

#VillaVerano - there are not enough words to describe this amazing tropical paradise. The grounds, house and staff are beyond top notch! Jose, Eddie, Freddie, Aurturo, John, and everyone else that I've forgotten made all of us feel like family. Our kids were also made to feel incredibly special - drinks poolside, food when they were hungry and laughs galore. The crashing of the waves was incredibly peaceful and healing, the meals were over the top Yum! Beautiful presentation and they were able to meet food restrictions - and special requests easily. Location is totally walkable, and if you prefer a Taxi it was incredibly reasonable into and back from town. GO! Check this place out....we truly didn't want to leave and hope to be back soon!

It's one thing to be pampered, another to be in paradise, but to be pampered in paradise is what we experienced at breathtakingly beautiful Villa Verano. We were given a genuinely warm reception by John Douponce, Director of Operations, and his friendly management staff. Upon being escorted to our Villa we were immediatley overwhelmed by the lush beauty of the surroundings, in the middle of which our villa was situated.
The spectacular beauty, magnificent views, comfort and tranquility of Villa Verano is outstanding. Added to this, it is the high quality of the cheerful, experienced staff and service that is the icing on the cake that made our much needed vacation, after a difficult year, a hugely successful and memorable one.
As soon as we entered our villa, Jose, the estate manager, greeted us with a margarita to accompany us for a tour of our villa, The Beach Villa, where we found every room to be tastefully and cheerfully decorated, and kept spotlessly clean by our housekeeper, Elena, during our stay.
Our closest and daily interaction was with Jose, and what a gem of a person he is! Jose's professionalism and attention to details is unsurpassed, but we were so touched by his warmth, friendliness and his genuine enjoyment of his job. Jose pampered us with anything we needed during our stay, whether it was a small request for guacamole & chips from their kitchen, or ordering and delivering a takeout dinner or fulfilling a grocery request. All done cheerfully and with great respect to our privacy. We miss you Jose, and you are a tremendous asset to Villa Verano.
The other person we had a close and warm connection with was Wilver, one of the accomplished chefs assigned to us. We had arranged to have dinner prepared for us in our kitchen for our fist night's stay, and Wilver delighted us with a three-course, delicious and beautifully prepared Mexican meal. Additionally, Wilver prepared all of our wonderful breakfasts, whatever we wanted on any day, and delivered to us by Jose, with his usual warmth and cheer. We miss you, too, Wilver!
We must also pay our compliments to John Douponce, Director of Operations, Arturo Gonzales, Reservations Manager, and LeĂłnor Lopez, Head Concierge. They provided us seamless service from start to finish.

The spectacular beauty, magnificent views, comfort and tranquility of Villa Verano is outstanding. Added to this, it is the high quality of the cheerful, experienced staff and service that is the icing on the cake that made our much needed vacation, after a difficult year, a hugely successful and memorable one.
As soon as we entered our villa, Jose, the estate manager, greeted us with a margarita to accompany us for a tour of our villa, The Beach Villa, where we found every room to be tastefully and cheerfully decorated, and kept spotlessly clean by our housekeeper, Elena, during our stay.

Last weekend a group of friends and I decided to spend a weekend at Villa Romantica to destress ourselves. From the moment that we arrived our House Person Lalo and our Chef Nestor gave us exceptional personalized service. They both greeted us with Margaritas which were delicious. If you like Margaritas Lalo is your main man to make them. The multi level Villa has 3 bedrooms suitable for 6 guests all with awesome views and a private pool in the middle level. The only suggestion I have is to warn up the pool a minimum of 8 hours prior to arrival so that the water is warm and if possible have 3 types of pillows Soft, Medium and hard since everyone has different preferences.
Overall our goal was achieved and we de stressed ourselves, we didn’t want to leave. We look forward to returning soon to Villa Romantica

Villa Verano is not really a hotel. It’s an 11 bedroom main house with four additional smaller villas ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms. Breakfast is included and is served on the private veranda just above the beach. The chefs are happy to prepare your lunches & dinners. There is of course a charge for that and for your groceries. This is a private and very exclusive estate but the main town is a 15 minute walk down the beach or a 5 minute taxi ride. And Puerta Vallarta’s restaurants are varied and delicious!

Breakfast is included with your stay in our Beach Villas and is prepared in your Villa. Any other meal functions such as lunch or dinner are available at a cost. The team can easily prepare snacks. We do your shopping for you
