We had such a fabulous experience. The team, including Jose, Eddy, Freddie, Manni and Meno for wonderful. The space was clean and absolutely beautiful. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious and cleaned daily. Laundry available Daly which was a really nice service. The personalization of the menu was top notch and food was very very good. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the ability to walk into town. The pool was exceptional and we had a blast playing volleyball and laying out and reading. Overall, it was an incredible experience.

Property's Favorite Review
I had the pleasure of spending 5 beautiful days at this Resort which was the venue for a wedding weekend of my best friends. Our wedding party took the entire property and we had 3 evening events that were completed by their staff with perfection. The Chef-Franco, did a fantastic job preparing food that he was not familiar with for a Kosher Moroccan Henna Celebration, not to mention a shabbat dinner and The Wedding. All for 90 guests. He and his crew served us delicious food from morning till late night. The Operations were smoothly run by John, our go to guy-Arturo was quick at making everything happen, Juan and Manny gave us consistent supperb customer service. The wedding planner, Roscio made everythin flow and the decor was gorgeous. John even surprised the Bride and Groom with an awesome Firework show. Can't wait to visit again.....

Beyond amazing!! The very best hotel experience in the Puerto Vallarta! The staff was very attentive to our needs. Even housekeeping was superior. I left a pair of shoes outside and when we returned to our suite, they were inside. This property is impeccable. The friendly staff, manicured grounds, the views and the delish food made fresh with local ingredients, all make this a must when traveling to Puerto Vallarta. Absolutely lovely!

If you aren’t reserving the entire resort for a wedding or event like most of the previous reviews here, read this before booking. Me: a traveler who loves splurging on luxury hotels around the world. My thoughts on Villa Verano: In short: This is WAY overpriced for what you get. We had a/c issues, and one of our friend’s entire Villa lost power for about 5 hours. The resort is outdated and the offerings just don’t live up to the hype. When we asked for the food options at the resort, they told us we need to give them 1 days notice for food, and they said we should order Uber Eats if we wanted something same day. What they did cook was great, but planning out every meal 24 hours in advance isn’t really our thing. There’s zero options for same day food accommodations. Wi-Fi was a permanent issue at every point around the resort. It was beyond frustrating. Hot water for showers was intermittent the entire stay, so we had cool to cold showers most days. The bed was terribly thin and probably one of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on. Apparently there was a sinkhole and major landslide next to the Propery. As a result, there is now a major construction project happening next to the propery. From early morning to early afternoon it’s very loud. The sinkhole/landslide took the road that’s at the front of the resort, making getting to and from the Zona Romántica very difficult. You are pretty disconnected from everything else in PV, which made every visit to the Zona Romantica quite a trek: either getting cabs/Ubers or walking through sand along the beach to get to the downtown area. That’s all cool until you’re in nice clothes with sandy shoes. Keep in mind if you don’t want to trek all the way up/down and around the steep property then through the sand along the beach… you will need to order several cabs and Ubers. We were a party of 8, so anywhere we went we needed 2 cars. Keep that in mind. Each room has a plunge pool, which is cool… but only the huge house gets access to the main pool and tiki bar. We were lucky enough to have access to it since the entire resort was empty when we arrived. But, keep in mind that under normal circumstances you can only access the main pool if you’ve booked the huge 11 bedroom house for your stay. We lucked out and we’re able to use it… but it reinforced our thoughts that we would be so disappointed had we not been able to. Keep that in mind if you’re not booking the 11 bedroom huge house. Each Villa had a plunge pool but in my opinion, plunge pools are an accessory…not the main event. If we didn’t have the main pool our visit would have been significantly worse. We lucked out being the only guests in the entire hotel. The property is sprawling up and down a hill and quite frankly isn’t for the unfit, or elderly. We were a group of active 20-40 something’s and were surprised at how vigorous many of the slopes and steps were just to walk from our room and around the property. (Especially in flip flops or if it rains.) So: come ready to walk long distances, up steep inclines, and even steeper declines. I can not see how this is a feasible resort for anyone who is elderly or handicapped in any way. All in all it’s a nice property and the staff was very attentive. But, we were shocked that it was the #2 resort in PV according to Trip Advisor. When I read the reviews it made sense: this resort seems designed to be booked in full for weddings or events. Without a full staff, we were left to order Uber eats and make many (far) trips to convenience stores to fill in the gaps from what we forgot to order from the resort 24 hours in advance. For $thousands a night, this didn’t live up to the standard that price sets. Personally, I would never come back again, and would recommend any groups of 8 or less to look elsewhere. There are far too many better hotels in PV to consider, especially for how high the rates are at this property. The price in no way equals the experience. Look elsewhere in my honest opinion!

brandonsublimelife, We very much appreiciate your feedback from your Verano stay. I did reach out prior to your groups arrival and explained there was some construction adjacent to the Villa your group reserved and offered an upgrade and move to a four bedroom Villa at no additional charge. The person in charge of your booking sent me a wonderful note of thank you for the great customer service. I am happy to share that with you if you wish. We held the 4-bedroom Villa Vista until the day of your group’s arrival. The person booking your reservations was so very complimentary that we would do that, your group choose a different Villa on arrival. We apologize for the power failure and internet issues, there was a major storm that caused the outages throughout the area. I was there when you arrived and toured everyone through both Villas. Your group choose our three-bedroom Villa that just completed a $125,000 USD renovation adjacent to the construction work. The pricing on the Villa you choose was equal to and maybe less than a hotel room per bedroom per night with much more, a full staff at your disposal. Breakfast prepared complimentary, daily maid service, clothes were even laundered by the staff etc. Prior to arrival our concierge sent out information requesting your food and beverage choices you would like to have on arrival. As you can see by our reviews our guests love this option. We do not operate as a hotel; all food and beverage items are purchased from the list provided by the guest. The groceries are at cost from your list, delivered to your Villa. This is all done with a 20% shoppers fee and 24-hour notice. This information was sent out to your group and explained also on arrival. This is done with a personal shopper and as you can see reading through our reviews this service is very popular and affordable however as explained our vendor does require a one-day notice. We never received your requests. On arrival we again asked for any items you would like the shopper to pick up. Our main Villa Verano was not occupied a few days during your stay and we offered you use of the large pool and bar area which also just completed over a $100,000 upgrade with all new pool furniture landscaping and renovation of the public areas of Villa Verano, we also just completed replacing the tile roofing on all Villas. Our main business is Families, friends, and weddings. We have guests that have been coming every year 15-20 years because of our amazing location, privacy, and staff. I am disappointed that we did not meet your expectations.

The villa is a stunning oasis tucked away at the end of the beach and offers sweeping views of the ocean and comfortable spacious rooms. The main hotel is an inviting central location for meals, drinks, and chilling. To top it off there are five pools if you're renting the entire place but the main pool seems to be where all the action is at. The house managers and staff are incredible including Freddy, Lalo, Arturo, Tony, Meño, Jose, Manny, Eddy, and Christian. The chefs include Franko (Head Chef), Nestor, and Wilber - get ready to taste some delicious food! And to the hard-working housekeeping staff Maribel, Hilda, Magaly, Maria Elena for keeping the entire grounds spotless. John, the general manager, was easy to work with, communicative, and accommodating to all our needs. Cannot recommend Villa Verano enough!

I hosted my 50th birthday at Villa Verano, booked sight unseen. The outstanding service started with the concierge, Leonore, who took me through a virtual tour of the property so I could understand the layout, where to set things up, etc. It was incredibly helpful and put my mind at ease, but I needn't have worried as the setup, rooms, staff, food - everything was wonderful and clearly well thought-out. Here are the details: - There are 22 rooms spread out over five villas that go up a hillside. The main villa is at the top and includes the large pool, outdoor bar (we practically lived here), kitchen and main dining area, and large outdoor patios overlooking the beach. The patios are covered, so no worry if it rains. We had ordered a tent to eat outside, but ended up not using it - and didn't miss it at all. There was plenty of room for 45 guests in the main area to host formal sit-down dinners, toasts, dancing, etc. - There is no AC in the main living area, but it is open and there are lots of fans. It was HOT out (July in Mexico, go figure) but the fans and ocean breezes made it more than manageable (plus there is an air-conditioned library with a pool table right off the main area if you need to cool off). Most importantly, there is AC in all of the bedrooms! - Most of the room are attached to the main villa. The smaller villas have between 1-4 rooms and each villa has it's own infinity plunge pool and kitchen. There is not a bad room anywhere, but some of the 'jungle' rooms in the main villa are quieter, darker and accessible via a small spiral staircase. We put the 20-somethings there LOL. The lower villas are almost right on the beach. The entire place is at the end of the beach, so there is no through traffic going past. - The beach is RIGHT THERE! You can walk to beach bars and activities within minutes. There is even an elevator to take your lazy butt back to the main villa if you don't feel like taking the stairs. There is also a gym for the not-so-lazy. - The entire property is magic! Fountains, plants, birds, views, quiet, sunsets ... really the whole package. The beach can be noisy, but with the doors closed and the AC on, the bedrooms were quiet. It also feels very private, given the surrounding jungle and hillside layout. - The food was outstanding (the fish tacos ... to die for ...). My niece and nephew are gluten intolerant, and although I noted it and directed the staff to simply leave certain items off the menu, they got GF flour so the kids could have waffles. Little touches like that made a huge difference. - The best part - and as both the hostess and a veteran of the service industry - is the STAFF. I cannot say enough about them! The housekeeping staff were like ghosts, I never saw them but all of a sudden my room had been turned over. The housemen/bartenders/jacks of all trades were just that: none of my guests carried a bag, or waited for a drink, or were served the wrong meal - plus they were all kind and fun, to boot. I have to give a shout out to my man Jose, the manager who magically appeared only when I needed something. He and Lalo ran the show. I felt like Batman with Alfred Pennyworth looking after me ... only in shorts and a tropical shirt. In short, Villa Verano is outstanding. I can't lie, it was a big event for me and I was almost prepared for something to go wrong. Nothing did! Highly recommend!!! Credit to undergroundstudio.pv for the pics!

It is impossible to overstate the excellence of the service at the stunningly gorgeous Villa Verano. Our group of 45 gathered for a dear friend's 50th birthday - the amazing staff made the six-day celebration an unforgettable event. They combined attentive service with a laid-back, welcoming vibe and did more than I can list in one review - creating tailored menus, mixing speciality drinks, arranging side trips, clearing plates at just the right moment, helping with a million requests with a smile and sense of humor. Thank you, Freddy, Lalo, Arturo, Tony, Meño, Jose, Manny, Eddy and Concierge Leonor! Chefs Franco, Nestor, and Wilber spoiled us with exceptionally delicious food day and night. The housekeeping staff was friendly, respectful and lightening fast in making up our rooms. Shout out to Maribel, Hilda, Zala, Magaly (and Maria Elena)! There’s so much more I can say about this mountainside jungle paradise - its breathtaking views of Banderas Bay, suites with heavenly beds and small infinity pools on the terrace. The entire place feels designed for fun and relaxation down to the last detail. But really, it was the people who make it a must visit!

we hosted our wedding here with family, all staying at the villa. From the moment we touched down at PV Gabby and Rosa were checking in on our flight time, we arranged private transport from the airport to the villa. We were greeted by the staff; Jose - estate manager was amazing and Eddy, bar tender was ready with fresh cocktails and fresh snacks. The rooms were clean and well appointed, the food was amazing, Martin, head chef created a restaurant level experience every meal - we picked items from there recommended menu for breakfast, lunch and dinners and had them prepare some of the fish we spearfished into fresh sushi rolls. The staff was always available but you also felt like you had the place to yourself. On our wedding day, they helped with set up; moving furniture, managing vendors, and taking care of last minute items for us. It felt like a tight family there; Meno, Freddy, Manny, Arturo were all on a first name basis with my family by the end of the trip, it was a truly memorable experience

We hosted our daughters wedding at Villa Verano in June of 2023 and had a fantastic time. It was our 4th time staying at the Villa and we always knew we wanted one of our children to get married there. The staff really went above and beyond to make our daughters wedding weekend so special. John, Arturo and Lenore all made the planning process smooth. Upon arrival, Jose, Lalo, Freddy, Eddy, Manny, Tony & Meno all had smiling faces and amazing service throughout the entire weekend. We appreciated Maribel, Hilda and Zala’s room services as well. Our guests could not stop raving about the fantastic food that Chef Franko, Chef Nestor and Chef Wilber made for us at every meal and wedding event. The wedding planner they work with, Rocio with Concierge Online, made planning a wedding from afar such a breeze. We would highly recommend Villa Verano for a vacation or wedding. Thank you so much to the entire team. We can’t wait to come back soon for our 5th visit!
