This was our first trip to Puerto Vallarta, Casa De Los Arcos, but it will not be our last!! Not only was the location and amenities perfect, but the owners David and Susan made our travel easier and better. Prior to arriving, transportation from the airport was arranged and our requested groceries were waiting for us in the full functional kitchen. We stayed in Casa Palapa and I hear the view in all villas are great, but wow, we were not expecting that! Every place in the villa had a stunning view overlooking the ocean. There were several places we could relax, the bed was comfortable, and we felt safe. It was safe. The neighborhood was nice and a short walk to the beach and town (David and Susan informed us of a short cut down the hill). We were a bit nervous leading up to our trip because of Covid, but once there we felt at ease. Everything was super clean and even David and Susan, the staff, and other guests wore masks. Plus, it wasn’t a hotel where running into other guests in the hallway was inevitable. It was the perfect place for us. Thank you Casa De Los Arcos for a wonderful vacation.

The property views are fantastic, the owners even better as they go out of their way to make your time wonderful. We stayed for 2 weeks during Covid and the place was professionally managed for safety. Look forward to returning.

Susan and David, along with Felip & Juan, ensured we had an incredible vacation (even during a pandemic). We booked directly through their website and received an immediate response. Susan arranged a taxi pick up for us and also picked up our groceries in advance. The real treat was having fresh margaritas and guacamole prepared and waiting for us when we arrived. They upgraded our stay to the Casa Grande and it was perfect. A large private balcony with a table and chairs and also sun chairs. We really appreciated having beach towels ready for us too. The pool was right outside our door and was the perfect temperature. We spent many afternoons lounging on the inflatables we packed and loved the many sunsets from the pool and balcony. Pictures don’t do this villa or pool justice! The AC in the bedroom worked great for hot evenings. Susan gave excellent recommendations and even helped us reserve time on tennis courts since that was something we were looking to do while on vacation. The botanical garden was beautiful and on evening walks to old town we were delighted to see lightning bugs!! We didn’t see them anywhere else on the trip. We can’t wait to go back and stay with Susan and David. With all this in mind I would say that if you struggle with stairs / mobility issues this may be a difficult place for you to get around. Also the villa has wonderful views on the hillside, which means it’s on a hill and it’s a fairly steep grade. It was easy to grab taxis and ubers back up but just wanted to share for those that may have concerns about that. COVID is real and we felt comfortable with the precautions that were in place. The apartment was cleaned daily for us and staff wore masks around guests. We also were asked and were agreeable to wearing masks when interacting with staff.

Each of the four suites has their own personality- we have stayed in two and each was perfect. Our Favourite is the Palapa suite.. which includes this stunning living/dining area. Susan arranged a little shopping for groceries, before our arrival, and a very good cook to prepare our arrival night meal.We called upon this neighbor several times to prepare meals. A wonderful escape! ( and Susan and David are delightful and friendly owners/hosts)

This is our fourth time staying at Casa de los Arcos since our first time in 2012. When in Puerto Vallarta we would never consider staying anywhere else, as David and Susan have a one-of-a-kind property. Located in a quiet, residential neighborhood high above Puerto Vallarta, you are a ten minute walk into the downtown areas. Central Puerto Vallarta can be quite noisy, so it is so nice to come back to the quiet villa and enjoy the views from your deck or relax in their lovely garden area. David and Susan are really lovely people and will go out of their way to ensure your visit is one to remember. For us, we particularly enjoyed their company and the time we spent having cocktails overlooking the bay. Each night, David blows his conch and gives thanks to the four corners of the world. We must say that we are thankful to call David and Susan our friends and look forward to visiting them again as soon as possible.
