This was our first family Christmas vacation and this was an ideal location for the teenagers, parents and grandparents. The property is extremely well maintained, the staff are caring, polite, their English was much better than my Spanish. The grounds were beautiful, I

This was our 2nd time in Melia. We could see the difference between 2016 and now. The hotel is starting to look old, although it looks clean. The staff is very friendly and respectful but there isn't enough waitress in the restaurants nor pool/beach area. The birds are

I would assume that is correct. The center building where the lobby is , is building one. There are two towers in that section that go up to 9 floors. the right hand leg of the hotel is building two and 3. Not sure what numbers the left leg of the hotel is. Hope that helps. Hotel is a big U shape with the open end facing the water.

We booked through WesrJet Vacations, had an ocean view in tower 2 on the 4th floor. The room was modern, obviously renovated. It was spotlessly clean. Entertainment from the lounge bar was visible and loud, however all entertainment (lounge bar, pool side) was over at 11-11:30. Early morning and throughout the day we saw maintenance people working constantly. Several days we saw an audit of the premises! Our family group was adults and older teenagers. It is advertised as kid friendly, some children were well behaved others weren’t, crying, cranky little people we found irritating after a while.

I never have used a atm because I can’t get the be in English. I bring cash, mainly small bills so I don’t need change. Credit cards I only use for bigger things such as excursions.

They have posted on the Italian restaurant that pants, shirt and shoes are required, but if they are not too busy they let you in with shirts, t-shirt and sandals. The other ones you are fine as long as you are not dripping and have at least flip flops, and the snack bar by the pool obviously anything goes.

"The rooms are clean but the bed, bedding, towels and toiletries are low quality. "
"May have to ask for facecloths, more than 2 towels. Change lamp shades, mirrors, tighten up plumbing fixtures, etc"
"Ocean view is worth it to buy, but garden view is more than ok too"
"Please ask for the rooms that have better shower facilities."
"Get the King size bed room as they feel more like as resort rather than the 2 Queen size bed room as they feel like a tired hotel room"
