We have been visiting for 37 years! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Magical! The chef will prepare your selected meals for a reasonable fee, the services are also reasonable and fantastic. Our pool cooks us off on hot days and provides a lovely ambiance otherwise.

Almost 10 years in and we are still just as amazed by this fabulous property. Perfect combination of large open air tropical living space and the comfort of air conditioned bedrooms. Beautifully and uniquely decorated. Private splash pool, full kitchen, comfortable lounging areas, ocean front views - there really is no reason to leave other than to visit the various great Puerto Vallarta sites, beaches and restaurants in the vicinity. It's a great location up in the hills of a quiet cobblestone neighborhood in Conchas Chinas - easy walk, bus, uber or cab to downtown. They have grocery delivery and a fantastic private chef service available (breakfast, lunch and/or dinner). We have been fortunate enough to use Alin's chef services for multiple meals - all of which have been excellent. All the staff members are friendly, efficient & helpful. We celebrated a very special 60th Birthday with family and friend’s. We rented villa four and nine so it was fun utilizing both units. The service was impeccable, and it’s always nice to see the same folks in housekeeping and maintenance. For guests, Ocho can also make arrangements to have your COVID-19 test completed on site for a small fee.

SHHH I do not even want to relinquis this Gem. I hate to go back to a place and it's not the same. Luckley so many places to see!. Holy Chrismas I have been looking at this place from before they remodeled a couple years ago. and my dream came true. I t was better than I ever imagined. LOL my husband could not figure out what he was hearing and I said the ocean. So high up there! Majical! peaceful. OMG yes yes yes! ( if you ever read me again I say Majical alot and I know I spell it differenlty. cool

Every villa has an amazing view and gorgeous water falls. The view of the Banderas Bay and Conchas Chinas has nothing to compare with. It's simply speechless. This open air design is stunning to get into the nature. But the added AC for the bedroom was the best thing they have done. I just wish the kitchen facilities are upgraded to the Miele so that this can be really called gourmet kitchens.

Over 25 years ago, I came across a hotel brochure that I couldn't put down. An open air structure in waves of white cement climbed up a verdant tropical hillside in residential Puerto Vallarta. 9 large units with open walls look out over the ocean with a magical simplicity like a true stairway to heaven. Each unit had its own floor, with a small plunge pool that gently spilled into the pool below..hence the Ocho "Cascades". It would be many years later, but sure enough, I finally stayed at this refurbished and improved site in June. While the open air concept looked very charming, with plenty of local artwork and rustic furnishing in the original brochure, the mgmt. has added some great renovations over the years. Bedrooms, once the domain of mosquito nets hung from the ceiling, are now sealed off in glass and equipped with great bedding and air conditioning. They also installed a sorely needed elevator though there is an entry by two different street levels...the top of the hill, with the desk and lobby, and a gate onto the property from a street at the bottom of the hill. About the only flipsde is that the property is timeshare, so you have to sit thru a 30-45 minute presentation in your unit. It is, however, no high pressure or big deal. And its well worth the privilege of staying there. Get a unit from floor 6 up so you can enjoy the magnificent views. Unit 9 was perfect for the 4 of us..two spacious bedrooms sealed off for airconditioning. The staff is wonderful, and each Friday they host a get to know us wine party in the penthouse complete with hor deurves and a mariachi band. It was truly the best vacation Ive ever had. As for the town of Puerto Vallarta...I never felt safer or more at ease. We Lyfted back and forth to the hotel and it cost abot $8 each way. That ended up being $4 each. Lots of great restaurants and active club scene. I hope you'll consider this hidden gem. Its the kind of place I've been excited to recommend. You wont be sorry!…

I may be slightly biased as I’m a fractional owner of this breathtaking villa. If you want to experience a once in a lifetime private villa, Ocho Cascadas in Concha Chinas (Puerto Vallarta MX) this is it. Your own private dipping pool, all the amenities of home and privacy. You can even schedule a chef and pick out your menu. I fell in love with this place about 8 or 9 yrs. ago.Each villa is unique, had its own dipping pool, housekeeping, ect. If you and another couple want to enjoy this amazing place, I highly recommend the experience.

Ocho Cascadas offers an unbeatable experience that my wife and I have not found anywhere else. There are only 9 beautiful villas in total, one above the other on the face of a mountain, offering an incredible view of the land and water below. The staff can't do enough to please and it is a genuine pleasure to see them again each time we return.

We just returned from a 2 week stay at Ocho Cascadas in Villa 5. The property is located in the Conchas Chinos neighborhood just south of the Romantic Zone in the hills overlooking Banderas Bay. The staff was helpful with every aspect of our stay, calling taxis, restaurant suggestions, pool maintenance, daily house keeping with nightly turndown service with light cleaning. The concierges were the best! Ochos Cascades is an open air concept resort. Each floor of the resort is a separate villa with a private elevator entrance for most villas, there are 7 two bedroom villas, 1 three bedroom and the penthouse. Each villa has a pool, full kitchen, dining table, hammock, sun lounge chairs and couches for lounging, all located outdoors. The bedrooms and bathrooms are enclosed and air conditioned. One of the coolest things was the cascading waterfall effect created from one villas pool to the next one below. You can also schedule a chef that for about $60 they shopped, prepared,served and cleaned up afterward a meal for the four of us. The views from the balcony are picture book. There are no TVs but we were never bored, we watched the fishing and tour boats go out in the morning, water activity in afternoons and sunsets in the evening. We even watched whales playing in the bay! Ocho Cascadas is nice place to stay with great views and service, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind if you decide to stay here. 1. Easy 20 min downhill walk to Romantic zone (taxi back) 2. It is outside except bedrooms/most of the space is covered but exposed to the elements. (rainy/humid times of the year) 3. Located in quiet neighborhood 4. No tv(if you can't live without it) Great Wi Fi If you are looking for a place to unwind and take life a little slower and enjoy being outdoors, Ocho Cascadas is the spot. Peaceful and quiet but only 10 min away from all Puerto Vallarta has to offer …

We just stayed at Ocho Cascadas for a week and can’t recommend it highly enough! The views from each individual villa are breathtaking, the ambience superb, staff friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating, and the weather was perfect. We stayed in Villas 9, a 2 bedroom beauty at the top of the hill just below the penthouse. This is a timeshare, so you either have to be an owner or know an owner to stay here. We were fortunate to know owners who invited us to join them for a week. One unique and delightful feature of this property is you can have a chef come into your kitchen and prepare any meal(s) you’d like. There is a menu to choose from and all you do is order the dishes you want about 48 hours in advance, pay for the groceries and the chef’s services, and they do the rest from setting the table, preparing the meals to cleanup. We did it our last evening there for dinner and it was beyond memorable. The food was excellent and the evening incomparable. The property is close to shopping and fabulous restaurants, entertainment, the Malecon Boardwalk, the beach, and the Naval Museum. If you want a relaxing, luxurious vacation, this is for you!…
